My SUV just turned 5 and last December the Catalytic Converter went along with whole muffler system system? It took 4 weeks for the parts to come in. In the mean time I was stuck with a Focus as a borrow car and the repairs were still under warranty. I told the Manager of Barber Ford in Hazleton that if my car was not fixed I would drive the Focus off a cliff with myself in it.

I love my Focus. 41 MPG and it's not a hybrid.

Just FYI if it happens again.

Buy an aftermarket exhaust system. You won’t have to wait a month for parts and you’ll get better performance. Choose the right muffler and it’ll sound cooler, too.

It was still under warranty that is why I had to suffer for 4 weeks and have it fixed by Ford. I don't drive small cars so I hated the Focus and it was all thru the month of January the worst driving weather.

I’ve driven a Focus, a Neon, and some Hyundai as rental cars.

I’d take either one of them as a second car but I’ll keep my Toyota as the primary.

(plus I love my Honda S2000 - but I don’t get to drive it anymore- Wahhh!)

I drive the rental Focus 600 miles in four weeks and used $40.00 worth of gas. LOL

Wow, a 5 year warranty on the exhaust, that’s prettty good.

I don’t even know what the warranty is on my Toyota, guess I should read up on it one of these days.
