You know, I had forgotten that. That's a very good point. Thanks for reminding me.
Maybe. On the other hand, a girlfriend of mine who has a D.S. son is not offended, and neither is New Hampshire Duo, who posted, "As the parent of a special needs son I cant say that I am really offended by Zeros remark. However, it does show that he is elete beyond his abilities and just plain not up to the task at hand." As I posted, I work with Special Olympics kids, and it's true that many of them are nowhere near as adept and graceful as the ordinary athlete, but they make up for it with determination and guts.
The point is that Obama thinks he's better than the rest of us, and that being bad at bowling is a point of honor, something to brag about. In this remark he's not poking fun at himself, he's boasting about being a member of the elite who never go to bowling alleys. It's not about special needs kids, it's about how much better he is than the rest of us.
I’m tired of Obama. Please let me awake tomorrow morning and it will be 2012 already.
I want that in my rear view window-that is so true!
The Teleprompter Jesus strikes again.
I still think we should organize mass mailings of clown noses to the White House when Obozo screws up. I think we could guarantee the Secret Service and the mail room staff would have to add jobs plus think about how many starving people in China we could put to work.
Governor Palin's Address To The 2009 Special Olympics In Boise, Idaho
Compare Obama's stupid, snide remark about the Special Olympics with Sarah Palin's very touching address from last month, and then spread it far and wide...!
bump SLP video address for ARL (after Rush Limbaugh)
He made me snigger with that comment. It was the most retarded remark that I’ve heard in a coon’s age. But maybe that’s because I’m a crip myself and people watch what they say around me.
