WASHINGTON — The Obama administration will call for increased oversight of executive pay at all banks, Wall Street firms and possibly other companies as part of a sweeping plan to overhaul financial regulation, government officials said.
The outlines of the plan are expected to be unveiled this week in preparation for President Obama’s first foreign summit meeting in early April.
Increasing oversight of executive pay has been under consideration for some time, but the decision was made in recent days as public fury over bonuses has spilled into the regulatory effort.

The whole AIG episode—from Obama’s feigned anger, to congressional Democrats’ obscene buffoonery, to chanting union “protesters” and Code Pink—was political theater choreographed from the White House. Obama’s “Reichstag fire” will be the rationale for draconian tax codes and regulations.
When the prevailing belief system dictates that unions create jobs, CO2 is a pollutant, and only government can solve problems, it's not unreasonable to identify a corrupt, partisan political pamphlet like the New York Times as a “newspaper.”
My exhibit one is the Pelousy O Zero comments within a day of each other dealing with immigration and amnesty. The fuhrer obviously believes in blitzkrieg that is all out total attack before the opposition has a chance to defend. Unfortunately the sane people in this country are now the equal of the British at Dunkirk but unfortunately the life boats are not to be seen.

Brad: Another recollection from recent history: When the Lao took over in Cambodia, they took all the achievers and sent them to the fields. That is exactly what is happening here now. Unfortunately for those doing it, they forget one simple truth: When they kill the Golden Goose, there are no more golden eggs. O Zero who has not even had experience running a lemon aid stand is now calling the shots on how business should be conducted and how much people should make and then how much more in tax they should pay. Sooner or later the Chinese are going to say no more money for your ideas and then stark reality takes over: inflation and a broken government, too broke for any more handouts.

The advantage, in my opinion, of capitalism over communism is that capitalism appears to begin with the natural human trait of bartering and evolves into larger systems. Communism is a system conceived on paper then imposed by force. Marxist movements may be founded by idealists but are always hijacked by thugs who turn them into corrupt, criminal conspiracies. Obama is following a fixed agenda, oblivious to the political damage he's doing to himself and the Democrats. There has got to be some closed-door meetings going on in the Capitol among moderates and Bluedogs--swamped with e-mails and phone calls from alarmed constituents. As a figure that slithered out of the corrupt Chicago machine Obama no doubt is dirty. Tony Rezko and others could bring him down. Where is Patrick Fitzgerald now that we need him?

Oh goody! Let’s see Diane Feinswine’s husband take a pay cut from his lucrative deals with China. And Queen Nancy Pelosi’s family doesn’t need all their millions. And how about Harry Reid and his corrupt money-making land deals in Nevada? And the Kennedy clan won’t mind contributing their family fortune to the rest of us, who didn’t have a father/grandfather who did business with the Nazis during WWII. Surely all the Dems like Peter Lewis, head of Progressive Insurance, won’t mind having a salary cap of $250,000...in the interest of equality and fairness, you know. I’m sure they’ll be proud to contribute to BO’s Communist revolution.
