AIG "distraction" descends into mob mentality as ACORN’s "WF Party" organizes bus tour of AIG homes
Flopping Aces ^ | 03-21-09 | Mataharley

Posted on 03/21/2009 4:03:37 PM PDT by Starman417

Up to the usual Alinsky antics - combining Rules #5 & #12 (see below rescript to jog your memory...) - The Connecticut Working Family Party has decided to further harrass and terrorize AIG families that received bonuses by organizing a tour bus filled with ... um.... socialists, Alinsky fans, O'faithful, and other activists who believe in intimidation tactics for political gain.

In a bittersweet irony, even the New York Magazine is appalled to find themselves on the side of Rush Limbaugh, saying:

Right, they're not fomenting rage, they're just encouraging it. So if you happen to record someone's address so you can return in the dead of night, it's not like Working Families told you to! We know we sound paranoid and we really can't believe we're actually on the same side as Rush, but this is getting way out of hand. Oh, to have fat ladies in high heels clogging up the West Village again.

Ever since Congress - trying to deflect their own responsibility and exposure of their sheer negligence - and their puppet media fanned the AIG bonuses into a side show, more dastardly deeds done in the dark of night or behind closed doors have been masked from the public's view.

Instead, the vicious circus has escalated out of control. AIG employees have found themselves the target of a particularly vicious public campaign. A powerful Congressman, virtually foaming at the mouth with fake indignation and spittle, was demanding names, while another elected official suggested they just "kill themselves". Others are recipients of emails suggesting "the firm's leaders "should be executed with piano wire around their necks."

In the meantime, the e-mails from the public have continued to roll in, including death threats and calls to blow up the firm's Wilton headquarters. Reporters and photographers have camped out in front of the offices in London and Connecticut. They have staked out employees' houses. The New York Post identified one executive and labeled him "Jackpot Jimmy." Another employee had to relocate his family after a London tabloid printed his address.

If the media and the powerful elected elite's assault isn't enough, Connecticut's chapter of the The Family Working Party has decided to transport the group of wacko crazies to the homes via bus tours... providing the very real possibility of return trips accompanied by mobs, or worse... in the dark of night to carry out some of the very real threats.

The Working Family Party... sounds so innocuous, yes? What could be more American than families. In truth, this is a third party formed by left over New Party socialists, labor unions, community organizations and... yup... everyone's favorite ACORN. Small wonder they are schooled in intimidation tactics on their fellow Americans.

Frankly, if it were my house, that tour would be met by me and several friends in rocking chairs on the porch with hunting rifles neatly laid across our laps.

And indeed, atop the increased security at the facilities to circumvent fears of employees being shot at while coming or going to work, some of the AIG families have increased security at their own homes.

Tell me... just what is President Obama's culpability, and or responsibilities, in this mob tactic? These are, afterall his personal grassroots henchmen. Brad Woodhouse's American's United for Change - which includes 25+ organizations including MoveOn.org and ACORN - remain in close touch with the WH deputy chief of staff, Jim Messina.

It was only last week when the LA Times reported on the WH in consultation with grassroots on budget issues and campaigns to marginalize Republicans.

Wonder how much they paid the ACORN dirtbags to clean up and get on the bus to go harass Americans who actually work for a living.

In your heart of hearts, don't you picture these bus riders and the FIRST IN LINE to grab a promised bonus from their bosses, regardless.

This makes me sick.

Is there a way to disband ACORN. I have had enough. They messed with our election, they are GOING to be messing with our census, they are being sent out to canvas homes to sign pledges to obama (does that make ya wanna puke or what....?) and they are now, after going to homes and actually threatening bank managers all across our nation, are NOW going en mass to folks home to HURT them, to EMBARRASS THEM, to SHAME them in front of their neighbors for something that was related to their jobs....promised to them by their bosses. IT IS SO WRONG FOR ACORN TO DO THIS...I HATE ACORN. I HATE IT. And I am so mad at the house democrats and senators and three republicans who VOTED for that stimulus package that assured ACORN billions of dollars over the next four years.....IT IS INSANE!!!!

The Nazis and Commies from ACORN have rapidly turned the greatest country in the world into a lowlife, third world, banana republic sewer. NORMAL people don’t do what these ACORN maggots and their union massas are doing.

Now if the castrated republican party had any balls, they’d be organizing a tour of the nazi ACORN homes.

This is great! The left is so confused.

These are the same people who said nothing about people visiting the homes and workplaces of those who supported and donated to Prop 8 in California. And the same people who get so miffed at protestors outside of abortion clinics who also post the addressess of abortion doctors and nurses.

Bottom line: We have a right to organize protests under the 1st Amendment. But it goes both ways. You can’t support one and not the other. (Well, you can, but then you’d be a big giant hypocrite).

Well, there is. The police will help ensure the peace and I am sure some of those AIG employees are well armed to kill whomever attacks them. If any were in my neighborhood I’d be having some fun with those protestors.

ACORN principal office is in the WH

ACORN sends intimidation goon buses to individual’s homes to ‘protest’ AIG ‘bonuses’

Ergo, the WH is in part endorsing sending intimidation goon buses to individual’s homes to ‘protest’ AIG ‘bonuses’

First them, then you & me.

When all these tactics are over, no one will be left to work and live.

This is exactly why none of the companies should have been bailed out!

Circumventing established bankruptcy law has brought this about.

Bush started this, but when AIG went back for seconds and thirds...they should have been referred to the courts, NOT CONGRESS.

Now we have an administration that has usurped power that does not belong to them.

This is what happens when the checks and balances are not followed and pure emotions run amuck.

Yes. They did manage to get it into the stimulus package. But the slimely ACORN supporters in the house that helped write the stimulus package (all democrats) RENAMED ACORN and other democrat functioning strong arms to something like 'community action/involvement'project or something like this. It is the UMBRELLAS money sucking org. for ACORN.

The writers of the bill knew that the word ACORN would send off alarm bills with republican house members and senate because of the stink we raised about the first bill that they tried to pass with the creepy word acorn right there in black and white stating it would be getting millions of tax payer money.

At that time it was written or taken out, thanks to republican house members.

But it got back in the next one, the last stimulus to be passed. And now, using the umbrella (SECRET CODE NAME I call it) name, it got in, and it is to RECEIVE not millions but BILLIONS over the next ten years.

SO YES, YOU AND ME AND EVERYONE WHO PAYS TAXES EVERYYEAR OUT OF MONEY EACH OF US HAS EARNED ARE BEING FORCED TO SUPPORT AND PAY FOR ACORN!!!!

Makes ya want to stop paying taxes.

New York's Working Families Party was first organized in 1998 by a coalition of labor unions, ACORN and other community organizations, members of the now-inactive national New Party, and a variety of public interest groups. The party blends a culture of political organizing with unionism, 1960s idealism, and tactical pragmatism. The party's main issue concerns are jobs, health care, education and energy/environment, and it has won notable policy gains at the city, county and state level by piggybacking on Democratic or Republican candidates.

As of 2006, the executive director of the WFP is Dan Cantor. The party's Co-Chairs are Sam Williams, UAW Region 9 CAP director; Bertha Lewis, ACORN's executive director; and Bob Master of the Communications Workers of America.

The WFP also has a powerful alliance with Dennis Rivera and Local 1199/SEIU (Service Employees International Union). The intensely activist union is known to contribute more than $100,000 a year of the party's $1.4 million annual budget.

Dan Cantor

Bertha Lewis

Lewis, 56, started down the road almost 20 years ago, fighting successfully for everything from squatters' rights to a higher minimum wage. In 1998, she helped found the union-allied Working Families Party.

Bob Master

Sam Williams, 45, who works at GM's Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan

Dennis Rivera is the Chair of SEIU Healthcare, the healthcare division of Service Employees International Union (SEIU).

Notice the different font/typeface for the "AIG" in those signs?

This is nothing more than a rent-a-mob of people with pre-printed signs that can be modified to protest whatever the "capitalist enemy" of the day happens to be.

This is sort of like those Muslim protests you saw in Europe a couple of years ago . . . all of which seemed to have people carrying around signs in English -- with not a single sign to be seen in the native languages of the countries where the protests were held.

I agree, I've never believe that the bailouts were justified, in the first place. Sure some big companies would have folded, and taken other companies with them, but businesses that (and people who) had not been stupid and dishonest, would have bought up the assets for pennies on the dollar.

This would have resulted in better management of the assets, and provided an object lesson for everybody.

Also, fraud charges should be aggressively pursued against the many who committed criminal acts to bring about this meltdown.

"while another elected official suggested they just "kill themselves". Others are recipients of emails suggesting "the firm's leaders "should be executed with piano wire around their necks."

I'd like the name of the official who told someone to commit suicide, myself... That's definitely someone who deserves a trip to a psychiatric hospital for being a danger to others by inciting violence/inciting what will probably become a riot.

It should be headed off at the pass RIGHT NOW. If these people committed a crime they should be tried in a court of law - according to our CONSTITUTION.

I know Obama, and the Congressional Members who are calling for their blood don't consider a pesky thing like the Constitution a problem, but the vast majority of the rest of this nation still believes fraud, corruption, etc... etc... are IMMORAL & CRIMINAL.

We need to demand a complete and total investigation perhaps run by the Congressional members who voted AGAINST the Bill of Attainder, and against the Bailouts, as well as elected representatives from the people???? (There has to be some kind of check and balance).

This action - along with the other actions of Congress in the last 59 or so days - at least - should be immediately suspended barring basic services prescribed by our Constitution.

Obama is not CARTER II -- Obama is NIXON II/CLINTON II -- make it a reality... IMPEACH OBAMA NOW FOR LIES TO THE AMERICAN PUBLIC, and investigate him for corruption, NOW.
