Not to be rude, but did you notice that 90% of those Wall Street types who are having their salaries capped are . . . Dems who voted for Obama?

Not rude at all, but 90 % of the wall street movers and shakers are not the intelligentsia you said would have their salaries capped as per my post. The classical intelligentsia are the professors, deans, academia types are currently are running our institutions of higher education. Obama isn't going to do anything with these people as they pose no threat to him and actually agree with his Marxist philosophy and one the main reasons he is in power.

Re-read your history of communism. The first people they wipe out are their supporters

Though true in the broadest terms, commies bastards killed off the ones who posed the greatest threat to them, which was the intelligentsia in places like Vietnam, Korea, Russian, Cambodia because they were the only ones who were educated and with the ability to expose them for what they are after they realized they were fooled.

In this country it is entirely different scenario, the intelligentsia are the ones who will get the powerful positions because they are the "true believers" and the capitalist "pigs" will be dealt with after their engines of revenue are fully compromised and controlled.

You need to mention also that Clinton had a huge “Peace Dividend” after the collapse of the USSR (b/c of Reagan).

Also mention the huge Capital gains tax revenues that aided the balancing of the budget.

Yes, a truly lucky SOB and a total myth that Clinton was good for the economy.

Ah, what a glorious thought. And I agree O isn't entirely to blame, nor was W: heck it goes back to FDR, LBJ, and even Nixon, who greatly expanded the welfare state.

But this will come at a horrific human cost. Maybe necessary, but it doesn't make it any less tragic. Sort of like watching the Israelites being hauled off into captivity after warning upon warning was disregarded.

But this will come at a horrific human cost.

What's preferable? Outright civil insurrection? In comparison, this is the easy way - a slow, drawn out death - just like the end of the USSR. One day, there just wasn't any there, there.

You're an historian - history is nothing more than the tortured record of the violent outcomes resulting from competition for scarce resources - liberty, territory, food, economic means of production, women, etc.

Peace only comes as brief periods in between the resumption of hostilities. We'll look back on the bubble era with fond memories of the "good 'ole days".

No, a civil war isn’t preferable. Too bad we can’t learn lessons from history.

I wouldn;t be so sure.

Obama’s new voters (college punks, previously unmotivated blacks) won’t turnout in a midterm.

Angry Republicans will be motivated to.

The media hasn’t attacked him personally but with the rats fully in charge there are negative stories about congress and Obama’s minions.

There is always rat fraud but only a handful of races are actually stolen. There are limits to it’s efficacy. Don’t fool yourself into thinking they have or could steal every election.
