Kroft to Obama: Are you punch-drunk (Obama jokes about "gallows humor")
Politico ^ | March 22, 2009 | Craig Gordon

Posted on 03/22/2009 4:20:01 PM PDT by RDTF

President Barack Obama said he believes the global financial system remains at risk of implosion with the failure of Citigroup or AIG, touching off “an even more destructive recession and potentially depression.”

His remarks came in a “60 Minutes” interview in which he was pressed by an incredulous Steve Kroft for laughing and chuckling several times while discussing the perilous state of the world’s economy.

“You're sitting here. And you're— you are laughing. You are laughing about some of these problems. Are people going to look at this and say, "I mean, he's sitting there just making jokes about money—” How do you deal with— I mean: explain. . .” Kroft asks at one point.

“Are you punch drunk?” Kroft says.

“No, no. There's gotta be a little gallows humor to get you through the day,” Obama says, with a laugh.

He’s laughing at all the dumb suckers who elected him to “fix the economy”. He’ll fix it alright - like his pal Mugabe.

BO did say to his wife ... "if I can pull this off" ... his words speaking to Michelle. Pulling what off ... that's the question.

Does anyone know if there is a day-by-day list of where Zero’s been? The DUmmies had a field day when President Bush would head down to Crawford even though he had a pretty full work schedule there. It seems like Zero’s put about three or four whole days on the job in Washington since the Coronation.

I guess it’s good for us, though...the less work he does, the better. Now for a good “government shut down” so they can’t do any more damage! A four or five year shut down would be good, except for military issues and pay!

The Kroft-Laughing clown interview was a full half hour. Now I can turn 60 Minutes off.

"No question that Obama’s level of narcissism that challenges the ‘pathological’. Next, his telepromter will have to tell him when to affect emotion. . .and when not to." 173 posted on Sunday, March 22, 2009 8:28:07 PM by cricket

That's the sign of a seriously emotionally-disturbed individual. Someone who doesn't know how to react and fakes fake emotion. It's scary to see. There's a sociopathic in-your-face quality to Obama. Whatever happened to him as a child, whatever alienation or discrimination he experienced growing up half-black, the flake mother, and being abandoned by his father, he has these seething resentments and there's a disconnect with normal Americans. He talked about the anger issues in his autobiography. This is a disaster.

It has to all seem pretty funny to Obama. . .he fooled enough voters to win. . .and no doubt the idea of his empty suit doing ‘stand up’ must really get him going. That and the fact that the joke is on us.

My theory is that Obama is actually a person who thrives on competition, and then when he beats his opponent, quickly bores of the victory and moves on to the next competitive challenge. Everyday mundane details of the Presidency are not of interest to him.

This fool thinks he is on a big party tour. I thought Clinton was bad. He lacked seriousness but he actually did like policy. Even if he was full of bs half the time, the guy had a brain and knack for looking at policy.

This fool just plays with words and is playing the “role” of President.

I never watch him on TV. Ever. So I avoid the worst of it. And that’s not going to change.

Besides, I’ve made a point to people. His words mean nothing. At times even early on he sounded like Reagan. I said watch what he does. And that tells you everything. Especially since he is really still operating as some sort of CPUSA Manchurian Candidate.

We're in real trouble if you ask me.

The glass is half full. Now we all know that power has to be taken away from him by the people. And we're up to the job.

The problem is however, all we have is Biden and Pelosi to fall back upon. Neither will be any better. Obama needs to be isolated by Congress, with Congress also being deadlocked. Frank and Dodd aren't going to be much help either.

He's probably already received the advance on his next book, a book about his plans for America: If I Did It.

This creep has all the rage of spoiled children, rebellious hippies, narcissists, Muslims, and assorted sociopaths - stuffed into one otherwise empty skull and suit. He's a CDC doomsday scenario, the highly communicable pathogen that mutates faster than antibiotics can be developed to combat the pandemic.

The solution is retaking the House and Senate in 2010. It can and must be done.
