are forced to confront the reality that Barack Obama is not who we thought he was.

And yet, the fault will be placed on O'bama, rather than your own thought processes.

Those of us who consider ourselves moderates…are forced to confront the reality that Barack Obama is not who we thought he was.

We tried to tell you fools! But you are soo smart, so superior to us peasants.

We’re so ‘bucketed’ it’s no longer funny. Has it even been 100 days yet?

Amen. It’s their own damned fault.

Bama’s stimulus package appears more like how Pharaoh handled his hold of bondage over the children of Israel.

Brooks can go to the back of the line when it comes to having a thing called wisdom.

“If this were not bad enough, he is accompanied by a mixed bag of inept conciliar retreads and yearling ideologues whose baleful influence will see to American embarrassment on the international scene.”
Obama’s gang of conciliar retards and yearling idiots are competing with the “long in the tooth” idiots and retards of Congress. It's anyones guess which group will win out on a week by week basis, but a safe bet the taxpayers will be the losers either way. Here's a solution: Instead of falling for the rhetoric gasbubble coming out of the beltway, and the mis directed hate lavished on the AIG crowd, why don't we surround Washington with a few hundred million with pitchforks and real torches? Call it a candlelight tea party if you will, but instead of a one day event that the media will ignore, stay until all the politicians surrender and leave. Only then will we be on the road to a return of freedom and prosperity.

At least the youth who voted for the big 0 have an excuse, they’re just as young, dumb and inexperienced as 0-bama. Anyone else who voted for him is an utter fool, instead of just a young fool.

“Those of us who consider ourselves moderates”

Either gutless or dishonest.
They stand for nothing, believe in nothing or are wiling to go along with evil as long as its a little bit at a time and not too obvious. A moderate would never kill you quickly he would slowly torture you to death. And then refuse responsibility for your death.
The Bible has something to say about moderates. Don’t mean to take out of context, it seems fitting. Jesus said he’d rather we be hot or cold rather than lukewarm.
In that vein, I find moderates more dangerous and evil than radicals.

The Presidency, the Senate, the House and the People. Three wolves and a sheep voting on what’s for dinner.

Out of his theoretical musings Obama is imposing a failed ideological strategy upon an anxious and reeling nation. It should by this time be obvious that, for all his undeniable charm and apparent rhetorical facility, he is an unqualified rookie, a “leader” with no experience in governing, immature in his enthusiasms and prey to faddish socio-economic theories with a distinct leftist stamp that have never worked wherever they have been tried.

Great paragraph -- an accurate summary of Obama's small and shrinking stature.

But...but...but....David! I thought you told us Sarah Palin was the unqualified rookie around here, the dangerous know-nothing nincompoop from Sticksville?!

Say it ain't so! Tell us you didn't screw the pooch, you MORON!!!

Why the surprise? Obama is doing exactly what he said he would do. If the “moderates” who voted for him didn’t think he would do what he campaigned on, then they voted for him, believing he was lying.

Cool. Then hang the media.

"Those of us who consider ourselves moderates…are forced to confront the reality that Barack Obama is not who we thought he was."

Priceless. This part of the moderate vision quest may have come to an end.

How could they not have figured this out? We all warned about Obama, that he was a left-wing lunatic, throughout the campaign. His wife, his preacher, the Saul Alinsky stuff, the messianic grandiosity in Berlin, all of the relevant signs.

It’s a good article, but someone needs to tell Mr. Solway that a “burger” is a sandwich consisting of a ground meat patty—the word he’s looking for is actually “burgher”

If the “moderates” who voted for him didn’t think he would do what he campaigned on, then they voted for him, believing he was lying.

The overarching strategy of the Obama campaign, as revealed to PBS Frontline by ex-Sen. Tom Daschle, one of Obama's senior advisors, was to offer Obama as a blank screen onto which a vast rainbow of hopes, aspirations, and expectations could be projected by yearning masses ..... without any corresponding promise or plank from the Obama campaign.

It was an "all-things-to-all-men" kind of campaign, somewhat similar to the 1840 "ballyhoo" campaign that elected the Whig slate on a content-free platform of general vaporings and showy entertainments.

Excellent!

I lost 2 thirty-plus year friends because I just could not listen to their “Obama-drivel” another moment. One even went so far as to call me a “freedom fanatic”. I must admit I am a freedom fanatic.

Last night, I explained this to my Mother-in-Law that lives with us…she is very wise and 82 years young…. She paused for a moment and said, “I see, so you traded 2 friends for freedom and dignity…not a bad deal son.”

“Those of us who consider ourselves moderates…are forced to confront the reality that Barack Obama is not who we thought he was.”
David Brooks, New York Times, March 2, 2009.

A statement like this BEGS the question....which planet do you “moderates” live on? What parallel universe do you live in?

Honestly, if David Brooks couldn’t see who Obama REALLY was, can he, and people like him, see truth at all?
