A massive manhunt ensued, and within an hour, Mixon was determined to be hiding in an apartment building near the scene of the shooting. At 3:05 p.m., a SWAT team entered the apartment, using flash-bang grenades in an attempt to stun the suspect.
Why? Why try to "stun" a ruthless killer of two police officers? Go in with real grenades and gun blazing...!
My stomach turns that this guy shows up!
May God Comfort the families, loved ones and fellow officers of these brave men! May His Peace and Grace be a comfort to them in the days and years to come.
I went to the funeral today. I got pretty choked-up when the honor guards escorted the four flag-draped caskets into the arena.
I think he had a hostage.
I saw similar films of the crowds who demonstrated in support of the murderer of those policemen. I seriously believe that such behavior reflects a mentality and mind-set that’s a threat to a civilized social order. The mob obviously wanted to turn this horrible atrocity into a race issue - in which they (blacks) are always victims regardless of the objective facts. It’s a totally irrational and mindless reaction. Even before these murders the perpetrator had on his rap sheet the rape of a young woman. All we need now is Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson to appear and foment riots that destroy Oakland.
The only bozos here were the media that chose to cover that pitiful little racist group.

The obvious about the protestors? These are people so frightened by life, by being included as members of society, they have to cop to a false machismo in order to have any self-identity at all. Whites did not do this to them, the "culture" did not do this to them, the American system did not do this to them. These are adults who made decisions, who have voluntarily committed themselves to behaving as dorks while hiding behind some false identity of oppression.
Four fine men gave their lives to protect the community from people like these spoiled protestors, and to protect the spoiled protestors from each other. The blood of these fine men is on the heads of these protestors.
