Actually that is a HUGE sign of respect that the King of Saudi Arabia is rendering to Bush.

The King's right hand is holding the President's LEFT hand. In their culture, the top dog's left hand is held as that is the wiping hand.

I have never had any doubt about Odrama, but it will be interesting to see what he and Michele do at Christmas. Christmas at the White House has been a big event, but Muslims don't celebrate Christmas. Will this be the first time in years of history that the White House doesn't have Christmas trees, etc?

No actually, total submission is a prostration. Still, for an American President to bow to *any* foreign head of state, and especially to a king, is beneath contempt. It spits on the American Revolution and our entire history. Did 0bama bow to the Queen of England?

Okay, I’ll make an exception for heads of state from countries in which an *exchange of bows* is part of a normal formal greeting, and the other head of state bows to the President in whichever order the exchange is supposed to go depending on who’s the host and who’s the guest.

Good points, and I totally agree with you... You’re right that prostration would signal COMPLETE and total submission. Are you familiar with protocols for these Saudi royalty (I’m not — I’m just asking)? Do they ever require prostration to begin with — or is this bow the same as they expect from their subjects? (Fascinating subject this has brought up! LOL)

Regardless, as you said, it is a kick in the teeth to ALL Americans... And, it definitely spits on the graves of ALL our Veterans!

I forgot to mention — you also speak of protocol as far as who is guest and who is host... Obviously, this wouldn’t apply in this situation as these men are BOTH technically guests of the Queen aren’t they?

I know this is all just nailing down specifics. The overall “storyline” won’t change. We all know what we saw, and there is only ONE way to interpret it, and it’s NOT good!

Thanks much for posting this with the still shots of the video. There is no possible way for people to misinterpret what we are seeing here. It was a bow - and a DEEP bow at that! I’m almost beyond words on this now...

It will be interesting to see how the media attempts to explain this away. Anyone with even HALF a brain can see exactly what’s going on here... And they called us all “crazy conspiracy theorists” for suggesting he was allied with the Muslims? How much clearer can it get???
