No worries, this will never pass.

Think of the impact this would have on illegal immigrants.

Congress and the courts (and the ACLU) would never do anything to disadvantage them.

In Maryland our licenses have magnetic coding with our age so liquor stores can read them. Yet MD give licences to illegals , on purpose

Who says illegals can’t get insurance? Or fake insurance? Or cancel their insurance a week after getting it?

Barry isn’t asking permission anymore, he takes what he wants.

Right, the state can’t or won’t enforce the laws, so let’s make a private business responsible for enforcement and not pay that business for doing the job. Turn that convenience store part time clerk into a DMV enforcer and Insurance Commission investigator.

Here in Milwaukee, when a deadly fight happens outside a bar or near a gas station parking lot, the police and the alderman blame the business for not enforcing the law outside on the public way. Their remedy is to pull the bar’s license or restrict the gas station’s hours of operation.

Funny you would mention onstar controlling the vehicle - I’m a big Dr.Who fan (british scifi show) and this last season they had an episode where almost every car in the world had a directional device installed. No one thought a thing until it started giving directions toward large bodies of water, locking the doors so you couldn’t get out, or filling the cars with a deadly gas....... it was aliens taking over the planet.

I don’t like government plans, but since about 30% of Texas drivers do not have insurance (including someone who hit a colleague of mine this week), I am willing to at least study this idea further.

Meanwhile, here is my solution to the uninsured motorist. When they are stopped for an infraction, check the insurance. If fake, impound the vechile and make the motorist walk.

Or, if you’d rather, you could take the Mark of the Beast. Then you could buy (or sell), gasoline (or anything else).

Obama will fix the problem. Instant free government car insurance to anyone that has an accident without insurance.

soon Onstar will kill the engine if you are late paying the miles driven highway taxes.

I heard some GM bigwig on the news talking about their future car plans.....

.....He said they were building the car that people wanted.

Onstar was one of the "popular" features.

Are we really that stupid? I'm not, I already have a cell phone. I want my car to do what I tell it to do, not what someone else tells it to do.
