I’m not much on joining militia groups right now either, especially after Holder has said recently that the 2nd amendment was not going to stand in the way of this administration’s plans. I know that any name on a roll call is on another list also. Still, we are going to have to hang together when the crap hits the fan.

While I support the 2nd Amendment to the hilt, I find these “militias” too “enthusiastic” in their rhetoric at least, about using violence against the government. Plus they are sadly misinformed about who is the head officer of the militia, officers who have the power as defined in the Constitution to order drills so they can become proficiently “well regulated” in military tactics and who can constitutionally call out the militias. (Hint: It's the governors of the states.)

These self aggrandized "leaders" conveniently forget this part of our most cherished document. While they have the right, no, the responsibility to arm themselves to their equals in the army, they cannot appoint the officers of the militias and they cannot decide when to call out the militias. As they are organized now, there is no difference between them and an private army or an armed mob which is not protected in the Constitution.

It is best to stay away from any organization that espouses the armed overthrow of our government. Hopefully the left will devour themselves before this becomes necessary.

I believe that strong leadership will suface that will attempt peaceful resolutions before revolution is called for. That is my prayer anyway.
