Non-Partisan Group Estimates Number of Electoral Votes in Each State in 2012
Ballot Access News ^ | April 14, 2009 | Richard Winger

After the 2010 census has been held, the number of seats held by each state in the U.S. House of Representatives will change. The National Conference of State Legislatures recently estimated what the 2010 reapportionment will mean for each state.

Eight states are expected to lose one seat each, in the U.S. House and in the Electoral College. They are Iowa, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

States that will gain will be Texas (3 seats), and one each for Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Nevada and Utah.

If the bill now pending in Congress to expand the House from 435 seats to 437 seats is signed into law, then one more state would gain a seat, and the District of Columbia would get its first voting seat.

DC should have none! It is unconstitutional. But of course that will not stop the Dems.

Only surprise is... one seat?

A beautiful state. So sad.

Yeah, but just wait until ACORN gets done with the census. You can bet California, New York, Oregon, Illinois, etc. will gain by over inflating the numbers in heavily Dem districts. There's a reason that Zero moved the census to the WH and is hiring ACORN to oversee it.

Personally I would not mind if all of the blue states went down to just 3 electoral votes each. :)

But given ACORN running the census, I predict DC will get 538 electoral votes with the 50 states getting nothing.

It would be fitting justice if states like Texas, Florida, Arizona, Utah, Georgia gain all these seats and tip the balance because of illegal aliens (who cant vote) and a real Republican wins then they get deported.

One of the reasons Obama and his henchperson Rahm Emanuel want to "estimate" the number of crimaliens in certain locations is to:
1. Increase the counts in urban areas in the states which will gain representation which may blunt the impact of a state like Texas receiving three new congressional districts and
2. To prevent an actual count in states like Massachusetts which might actually lose two congressional districts if phantoms are not found in Boston and Worcester.

The DC seat will probably be hung up in court for years.

Just wait. The Messiah has seized control of the Census Bureau and is preparing the mother of all gerrymanders. He’s gonna cook the books until they are seasoned for a Democrat win.

Does this take into account that ACORN will be conducting the 2010 census?

After Acorn gets done counting we will learn that the entire population now lives in blue states and the red states are vacant.

The seats will be distributed accordingly.

A picture

If you would like to be added or dropped from the Michigan ping list, please freepmail me.

I'll be surprised if we lose just one seat. I pray to God it goes to Texas.

Wolverines. No, I am not a U of M fan. I am however a Red Dawn fan.

I tried a technique I thought of. It might not be original, but I am self taught and have to figure this stuff out myself. I overlaid a photo of the Wolverines graffito, traced over it, then "pulled out" the photo. It didn't work quite as well as I had hoped, but I think it may just need a little practice. I do plan to try that part again when I have a little more time.
