Has anyone ever seen Saddam’s old spokesman, Baghdad Bob, and Bob Gibbs, PBO’s press secretary, in the same room? When it comes to denying reality, they are cut from the same cloth. And there was that story today about the doctor claiming to have cloned people . . .
Really, is there anything Gibbs won’t say on behalf of his boss? I’ve put together for your delectation a video montage of the latest example of Gibbs’ truth-defying act. It’s a step-by-step demonstration of how Gibbs yesterday denied the undeniable: that Pres. Obama changed positions when it comes to the possibility of prosecuting Bush administration members involved in authorizing the use of interrogation techniques now deemed verboten.

I think we are living in a parallel universe. The other one is run by Monty Python and company. Everything they do reminds me a Monty Python bit. In this case it’s the dead parrot the guy tries to return to the pet shop!
To date this whole administration has been like a bad dream. Totally surreal.

Yeah, but isn’t that his job, to lie? Just like lawyers, publicists, and politicians.
It’s not like he can go against the administrations line even if he didn’t believe it. He’s paid to be their spokesman.
I remember the MSM making fun of Ari Fleischer a lot. But that’s different. He was a Republican, and he didn’t later write a book about how evil the administration was for attempting to pursue the policy decisions it had made.
I wonder if they think they can avoid releasing the “results” memos that Cheney demanded Monday by claiming prosecutions may be pending.
