Maybe I’m just missing something .... how many “Taleban fighters” are involved in this stuff? If the Pakistani gov’t has responded by deploying “100 paramilitary troops,” it just doesn’t sound like all that many.
The Taliban is just crazy. I bet Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iraq are all more than a bit nervous now.
Heck they will probably PAY Israel to take out Iran who looks to get a nuclear warheads for some of their missiles now.
Worse yet we have a bunch of adolescents in the white house now! Bad things are about to get much worse.

Agree. This story makes it sound like the fall of Pakistan is imminent, yet out of a population of 165 million, all they can come up with to defend against a Taliban overthrow is 100 troops? This story is not funny enough to be satire, otherwise I might think it was published by the Onion.
Unless the threat comes strolling across the southern border.

It may be a large percentage of the set of troops willing to fight, and perhaps die, for the current regime.
