We can’t control diseases at the boarder if we can’t control the flow of illegal immigration.

Illegal immigration is now a public health danger.

It’s funny because I’m from Puerto Rico (a U.S. territory), and every time I leave the San Juan airport, I am asked by TSA and U.S. Customs if I’m an American citizen or not (which I am, of course) because there are a lot of Dominicans and other Caribbean natives passing themselves as Puerto Ricans in order to be able to enter the U.S. mainland without passports or without going through Customs.

But, the thing is, they ask you for a “YES” or “NO” answer. So, if a Dominican or Caribbean native can pick up the Puerto Rican slanG on how to say “NO” (which is basically “NO” — pronounced linguistically like ANY OTHER “NO” — then they’re ‘good to go’ and off to the U.S. mainland.

It’s Pathetic.

I live in Wisconsin and we don’t have those signs. My sister and I visited my brother in LA and then drove to San Diego to see me other sister for a surprise birthday party. (I-5?)
I was astounded by the signs, and this was over 10 years ago.

Is that sign on the US side of the boarder?

Good grief, Silvie - I gotta wonder if the dolts in Washington have a clue what they’re talking about when they say ‘border’. I’m beginning to think that even Napolitano is clueless, and she was our governor fer cryin’ out loud...

Perry needs to take the bull by the horns and close or seriously screen our borders.

Check this out:

http://www.cdc.gov/swineflu/investigation.htm

It first looked mostly like a swine flu virus but closer analysis showed it is a never-before-seen mixture of swine, human and avian viruses. A direct vaccine won't be available for months, Tamiflu meds do help a lot.

Here's the kicker, it is H1N1 type virus, so what? It is the same strain as the Spanish flu that killed millions and was thought extinct since 1957.

How did it reappear and recombine with avain and human flus to make a new very lethal virus? It has a 6% mortality rate and is spreading in Mexico rapidly as an aerosol.

It kills by getting your immune system to over-react and fill the lungs with fluid. The younger and healthier, i.e. better immune system, the more lethal it is. That's what makes it so unusual from all other flus.

It was first detected in Mexico on March 18th and no alerts were given. Anyone who has been to Mexico in the last two months was exposed, 10 day incubation period. Even if you had a mild case you may have passed it on. The patients are expanding exponentially and the many rural areas of Mexico have not been surveyed.

We have to quarantine Mexico immediately.

This may be a WMD attack because of the possibly manufactured nature of the mutation of this virus.

I don't know how many thousands of Mexicans have work visa's and travel to and from Mexico on a daily basis. But that is a health risk on it's own.

Then, we have Mexican children who are bused across the border to go to our schools. Another health risk.

He should as soon as it's his responsibility to do so.

Until Texas is a nation, Texas shouldn't have to.

There are so many rules in this country today that, because of the way they are enforced, accomplish nothing but the inconvenience of the good and law-abiding. It’s terrible.

One of those better to ask forgiveness than permission things. We can do what we want with our own borders and sort it out with the Feds later. He’s already told them once that if they won’t do anything about the Mexican border he will.

“No sir, I haven’t felt sick recently.”

50,000 people later

“What? No man, not sick, haven’t been since 3 years ago.”

Useless
