If Mitt Romney is in, I'm out!
Declaration of Independence | April 30, 2009 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/30/2009 11:50:51 AM PDT by Jim Robinson

Yeah, I know. Said some similar things about Bush in 2000. But at least he was pro-life, pro-family, etc, and thank God we supported him over the idiot All Green Gore.

Said similar things about McCain in 2008. But when asked the question "when does human life begin?," and he unabashedly stated, "At conception, of course," I had to take notice. Then when he announced Sarah Palin as his running mate, I decided to support her. I voted for Sarah (and the white haired old geezer that came along with the package).

But Romney is a NO go. And I don't care who this socialist, abortionist, homosexualist, constitution trampling bastard picks for running mate. If Romney's in I'm out!

G.O.P., R.I.P!

I thought Romney was better than McCain. However, I not so sure anymore.

I’m not liking any of our options. Where is our 21st century Calvin Coolidge? Or George Washington?

I would have probably held my nose and voted for Mitt last Nov. but at this point there is absolutely no point in working with people like him.

I'd rather look to build bridges with the Blacks and Mexicans -- who might be pro-life and take God seriously -- rather than the welfare-for-Wall-Street crowd that will pat us on the head hoping we stay in our place.

If Mitt Romney is in, I’m in.

No finer person and/or candidate.

I thought Romney was better than McCain.

I actually ended up liking McCain a little. He did not have the firmest philosophical grounding and he certainly wasn't the brightest light we could have hoped for, but I think he was basically honest and he would have certainly put the country first.

You’re just a Mormon hater... You are filled with hate if you don’t think that gays should be allowed to have joy in their lives... How can you live with yourself thinking the way you do... Okay, Okay, just wanted to see if maybe I think like a liberal I could understand them a little better... Ummmm... Nope, still think they’re a bunch of empty headed idiots.

So what are you saying, that Mitt is not a conservative?

I'm shocked!

After all that's not what his cadre’ of ardent supporters tell us, indeed he is the perfect conservative according to them....

Oh and if we oppose him it isn't because he is a socialist, (because according to his supporters he is the ultimate conservative), but that we are all bigots...

Yeah, I know. Who cares? Don't let the door hit you, Jim. Good riddance.

Your preemptive declaration could not come at a better time. Now is the time to let the GOP know that we will not accept the likes of Romney as the next nominee; not a year or so from now when he'll have laid down the groundwork to be the nominee in 2012.

If Romney is allowed to ascend to be the nominee, that'll be it. I would like to see higher-ups in the party tell Romney to go fly a kite - kicking him out of the party if necessary.

Mitt Romney would spell the end of the GOP as a national party. He has no conservative values at all. And contrary to what he likes to project as his image, he doesn't engage in public service. He engages in whatever works best for Mitt Romney. He will not hesitate to attempt to destroy the Conservative Movement if he thinks it will benefit him.

I’m with you Jim. Those go along get along days ended are over. playing nice with the demoRATs is like wallowing in the mud with the hogs, thinkin’ you come out in clean duds. I say enough of the liberals and progressives running the GOP, if they don’t like it they can follow guy from PA.

I’m with you 100% on this, Jim!

Romney’s socialized medicine plan will yet bankrupt Massachusetts.

Having trouble with the literacy today? It seemed Jim spelled it out well the issue differences he has (as most of us do) with Romney and his religion (which he doesn't represent with his positions) didn't even come up.

Try reading instead of just reacting next time.
