Seems like it’s gotten worse. I only got out three years ago and knew some openly gay relationships. If they had done anything like that in public... I even with my friends who were girls, (which I was very affection too) was told to back of, even though there was nothing wrong with it. (though I did hear about some questionable activities in the bathroom between girls. Never did hear if they had anything on them...)

Though I will say I’m going to enjoy this smackdown.

My kids knew about some open relationships too—and the guys who were openly gay were not picked on. They didn’t do the PDA in school.

I will say there is definately a double standard.

Two women don’t even have to be lesbian to occasionally want to be with other women.

Years ago, when I was studying to be a clinical psychologist, I remember my clinical supervisor making the extremely politically incorrect remark that she'd never met a homosexual whose homosexuality didn't develop out of some sort of psychological trauma or severe mental illness.

I’ll never understand why a woman would want another woman especially if she’s butch.. I mean why be with someone that looks like a man but doesn’t have the package? That’s like having a blow up doll with out the holes. Crazy.
