A reprise of last night’s ballyhooed fiasco with Mike Pence. Sir Tancelot does better — he’s not evasive, at least — but to borrow a line from “The Princess Bride,” I’m not sure “intelligent design” means what he thinks it means. Near as I can tell, he’s attempting to square the circle by imagining an essentially deist god (or intelligence) that created all species in some primitive form and then let evolution go to work in turning them into the creatures we know today.
I thought most ID-ers believe that life today is, more or less, how the designer originally designed it. If not, if it’s simply about proving that there’s a designer somewhere in a process that might have taken billions of years, then it’s really just Darwinism + a remote God at the very beginning, no?

Lets just say that if I were are true believer in Darwinism I'd ask him to stop representing my side.
Tancredo came off much better than Pence did yesterday.
Pense last nite was shaking his head through almost the whole “interview” while Matthews spewed his liberal obfuscation.
Anyone he does that to needs to tell him the question doesn't help the discussion, and if you want to have a discussion it has to be brought up to a level of intellectual discourse.
Matthews is beyond vile and loves to hear himself speak and will not let the issues be discussed.
Guests should offer to come back another time to discuss his hatred for Christianity and refuse to answer his straw man questions when they are there for politics and not personal beliefs.
Why do our guys even appear on his show? its not like anyone is watching it.
There is no doubt about evolultion. Matthews is definitely descended from apes.
I just don’t get why you have to choose creation or evolution, I believe in both.
I would just ask Chris matthews to explain how evolution created the mooon, stars and the universe

Mathews is an idiot. By asking people if they “believe” in evolution he necessarily makes evolution a belief system rather than science.
It’s a pity that Republicans can’t point this out to him.
I see nothing oxymoronic about the idea that God used evolution as part of his creative process.

This is a well established concept called Theistic Evolution. It is endorsed by the Catholic Church.
Its not as if the facts - science - backs him up.
I have to disagree. Hissy came directly from that hot and steamy primordial pot of pond scum. I would not insult the great ape by suggesting Hissy had any linage to them.
