We know what will happen based on the 50-year lab experiment in Western Europe. The policies can’t and won’t work, but they will create such dependency and such a large voting bloc that clings to them that future changes in the political dynamic will become impossible, short of outright collapse of the system.

What Dick Morris doesn’t understand is that the election of Commandante 0 has brought us into a POST-POLITICAL ERA -—
there are no political solutions to fix it.

Your first problem is that you are listening to Dick Morris.

Your second problem is that you’re listening to Dick Morris on Bill O’Reilly.

Develop some other sources of information and I am certain you will feel much better...

I have to say I’m surprised by Dick Morris. I thought he was on the “conservative” side these last 8 years simply because of the success of the GOP in 2002 and 04, and would soon jump ship back to the left after the failures of 06 and 08.

It’s still possible that he may be secretly in league with the Clintons and is just critical of Obama for that purpose.

As for him “knowing his stuff”, I’m reminded of an episode of “King of Queens” where Arthur was hanging out at a coffee shop giving everyone advice. He later finds out everyone was eager for his advice because, after hearing it, they would just do the exact opposite.

This is what I think Morris’ advice is worth.

” Anyone familiar with him knows that Dick knows his stuff.”

Yup. Morris has an unbroken string of predictions and being wrong about all of them. Whatever he says, the opposite is likely to be true.

I think once Obamachev’s tax hikes sink in, I think the economy will tank. Unemployment will be high. Wouldn’t be surprised to see inflation tick up. Republicans should be able to run on tax and spend and do OK.

Get this thru your heads...Hussein's policies WILL work..foreign and domestic.

Because the MSM/DNC/Hollywood/Academia war room will report it that way.

Propaganda works!

Some random thoughts...

We seem to be transitioning from an amazingly successful system (free market capitalism, limited government) to an amazingly unsuccessful one (centrally planned economy, welfare, restrictions on individual liberty), and it is politically incorrect to oppose this. Is there any way to make the Founding Fathers fashionable?

There are some ardent believers in socialism, but a lot of the supporters are people who just want to be accepted, especially young people. They are socialists because it is considered cool. A moment’s reflection would show that it isn’t, that is has never worked, that they will be sacrificing their individual liberties, but they’re not going to think it through, at least not for now.

We also need to reduce white guilt. I believe that will happen over time, although some people can always make a living as race hustlers.

We need a ministry of propaganda for the values and ideals of this country.

The interviews with former KGB agent Uri Bezmenov have been posted before. They are at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vlkPkJInUmU&feature=related and
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DIFcnctnHsE&feature=related . His advice to us is to teach patriotism.

When I was young, I was more or less a social democrat, but I changed as I got older. The young socialists of today could change some 20 years down the road.

The upcoming elections will be very telling. We may have more supporters than we think, and some of them may be old-fashioned liberals. They may not support a lot of what we support, but a taste of real socialism may push them in a more conservative direction.

Conservatives need to fight Obummer. his administration and the libtards in Congress every step of the way. If we are going to be the party of “No!” we better explain why we are saying no. If we are going to be the party of “No!” we better come up with more and better positive solutions of our own and espouse them and make them public as much and as often as possible!

Sometimes there aren't any rays of sunshine. Mussolini grabbed control of Italy with almost the same agenda. People kept saying that the "sensible" Germans would stop Hitler . . . but no one did. The fact is, there are indeed some dark ages in history, and sometimes they belong to us.

It's not inevitable, and I could envision a scenario of overreach, combined with heavy unemployment and more administration screwups, whereby in two or three years, Obama is as unpopular as Bush was and a new GOP rises out of the ashes. But I don't expect that to happen as of today.

I saw the interview and I think he was sort of spot on. His point was that the GOP can’t do much to stop the Rats because the control both houses. But he said the GOP should continue to vote no on all the issues and make them the sole property of the Dems. When things start going off track, then the GOP could stand up and say “I told you so” and then offer better solutions. His emphasis was that the Dems can get whatever they want, so the GOP has to sort of take it on the chin at this point and be prepared to fight back on the issues that matter most. I thought it was a great interview myself.

Let's ignore the simple fact that while Morris has a good track record with short-term advice, his track record of prognostication is very poor.

Let's say he's close to being right about what Principled Conservatives need to do. It's not that I want Obama to fail, I know Obama's policies will fail for the simple reason that such policies don't work.

So he's close to being right, and he's not too far off about what't to be done.

If you have ears and eyes, you will note that Principled Conservatives are under a constant barrage of daily, sometimes hourly outrages. I believe it is a deliberate attempt to cause reaction, to put off balance, to sew division and to seperate out from the ranks of their opposition those weaker members who are already suffering from Stockholm Syndrome.

Yes, I believe it is deliberate, and it leaves inaction as a non-starter. This does not mean we can't open our eyes up and see what is happening and choose our ground, disallowing the Regime to choose the ground where we fight.

The answer is confidence. Confidence in our principles, confidence in our choices and beliefs, and most important, confidence in the God of our fathers.

With good humor, remember the unflappable attitude of our ancestors when under fire. Stay calm, keep ready, watch out for one another and do not succumb to desperate fear or anger.

Remember the Regime fears us more than it does Islam. (I did not say they were rational.) Resolve never to surrender, and be no more provoked by the daily outrages to anger but nevertheless remember, take note, and smile.

The Regime has no sense of humor, and over time, if we refuse to be played or to lose our center of gravity, the liberal terror campaign against logic and sensibility will lost its effectiveness.

The answer is not inaction, it is merely to refuse to allow the Regime to choose the ground where we fight. We should not be silent, but very clear and direct as we would with an immature child hoping to disrupt and undermine discipline in a classroom. Confident good humor is an instant sign that, at the very least, sews doubt among those on the sidelines. Tell the truth, and smile. And then repeat.

If conservatives will sit on their wallets until next year’s elections, there won’t be much improvement for BO to crow about. But the GOP better have conservatives running for Congress or conservatives will sit out the election, too.

The future is bleak. Obama’s electoral votes will be there because he is implementing all the necessary programs, ACORN, CENSUS control, etc. to vote him in permanently. There will be illegal voting, etc. He will win the next election because the black people want him because he is black, the gays want him because they feel he will steer the gov. laws in their favor, the Jews want him because they know he isn’t Christian and they still are not convinced that he is Muslim or anti-Jewish, the Muslims love him because he is Muslim, the trash love him because he is trash, on and on! He will be elected again and by the 3’rd term he will have a crisis to where they will put off the elections and our constition will be so watered along with the laws of the land that we will no longer prevail as a free nation. GOD HELP US!

There is an alternative, though, I think we need to consider and it is precisely that his policies will NOT work but that, like FDR, people keep electing Democrats anyway.

The evidence from 1932 on was that FDR wasn't accomplishing anything. Certainly after 1936, the nation was stuck, and after 1938, regressing again. Yet FDR won two more elections before the war ensured him of a third re-election.

The problem is a) the media (which Ron mentioned), and which will blame Republicans for the problems so long as there is even ONE Republican in either House; and 2) Obama is consolidating power faster than FDR did, crushing opposition better than FDR did, and putting in more radical people than FDR even KNEW.

In short, I'm hoping it's not "damned if we do, damned if we don't." If he succeeds he gets credit; if he fails, he blames it on us and slowly turns this into a totalitarian state a la Mussolini.

I agree that many will be stunned. But see my post above. If it takes more than a year for them to wake up, I’m not sure Obama minds, as he’ll have the system locked down by then. There WON’T be any dissent.

There is no escape from the facts.... they won. American conservatives lack the mettle to do anything about it but whine. They will have to learn to live with it.

Conservatives/Republicans officeholders, candidates, and media, consistently put forth their own plans and ideas.

It matters not, with state run commie media propaganda.

How many more years of proof do we need that our first order of business is to destroy and discredit the leftwing monopoly on communication?

I think if they awarded a prize for the least accurate political prognosticator Morris would win it hands down.
