WASHINGTON - The White House aide who authorized the controversial Air Force One photo-op flight last week around the Statue of Liberty is out of a job.
President Obama has accepted the resignation of Louis Caldera, the director of the White House Military Office, the Daily News learned Friday.
A secretary of the Army in the Clinton administration, Caldera took the fall for the public relations fiasco arising from the April 27 flyover, which was designed to replace a publicity photo of Air Force One flying past Mount Rushmore with a similar shot of Obama's 747 jumbo jet over the Statue of Liberty.
obama needs to be fired,he doesn’t even know who has the keys to his planes!
Caldera couldn’t authorize this flight on his own. Obama would have to have sign off.
This really wreaks!
I see Obambo is catching on the the Clinton tactics real fast. Destroy the careers around you. They’re only there for you to walk on their heads anyway.
Independent Investigation Please.... There is alot of missing info reagarding this shame. They are sacrificing Caldera to try and brush this away quickly... NEVER... Everyone this needs full accounting from independent source. Obama administration is a bunch of Incompetent LIARS...
What we need is leakers, that’s what we need.
Did anyone get a picture of the chase plane? No way that fighter took that picture.
FOIA the rest of the Pictures... The real ones and FOIA the manifest. Congress should have an independent investigation because you can’t trust anything out of this incompetent administration.
Full Accounting nothing less.
Why were they holding up “W”s?
>>You knew this was coming.<<
I didn’t think this was coming - I didn’t think they viewed the incident as serious enough to replace Obama’s main military adviser.
He authorized the flyover
Bloomberg and lots of other people freaked out
I... Call... For... A... Special Prosecutor... To.. Investigate... What did he know... and when did he know it?????

WASHINGTON For the first time in more than three decades, Social Security recipients will not get any increase in their benefits next year, federal forecasts show.
... snip ...
The forecasts, by the Obama administration and the Congressional Budget Office, indicate that Social Security beneficiaries will not receive any cost-of-living increase in 2010 or in 2011.
... snip ...
A freeze in Social Security benefits would have major implications for Medicare because the COLA, in effect, puts a cap on premiums for Part B of Medicare, which covers doctors services.
If there is no cost-of-living adjustment for Social Security, about three-fourths of beneficiaries will not see any change in their basic Part B premiums, federal officials said. But some beneficiaries do not have this protection and could face substantial increases in their Part B premiums.
In addition, millions of beneficiaries could see higher premiums for drug coverage, provided under Part D of Medicare. ...
YELP! The cover-up will do him in!
What an uninspired, lousy shot setup!
Another one unda da bus, hay!
NO PLANE SHADOW ON GROUND IN PICTURE. Sunlight is behind and above the photographer.
he’s taking the proverbial bullet for “the one”. you simply do not authorize something like this without approval from up the line..
