Well, I keep getting notes from readers telling me why donations are down. And I guess it's not because of the economy or the depression or that the GOP is in a terrible slump or any of that stuff. The number one complaint seems to be that we on FR apparently have more faith in God than man or science. We support Liberty as defined by our Founding Fathers and we don't support moderates (RINOs), socialism, universal healthcare, abortion, the gay agenda or any of that modern poofter stuff that we're supposed to be supporting. We just don't believe that government is the solution to our problems.

Let's face it. Free Republic is now populated by nothing but a bunch of right-wing extremists, clinging to our guns and religion!

Guess that makes some people nervous.

Jim: I have already given once. I only gave 25 because I believe that you had loosened your standards and given to much “air time” to “obamamaniacs” which I refuse to read. I enjoy the news articles which are truly news and not liberal pap and enjoy also the analyses and commentary of the thinking conservatives that are what I have come to expect. As conservatives it is necessary that we don't give an avenue of expression to a group that only knows hypocrisy and lies.
