If the state requests a bailout from D.C., I think their ability to be a state is questionable. Would that mean that the Federal government would take over the state government of CA? Would that be Constitutional?

BTW...the ‘legal’ ones are the ones electing the idiots we have in office.

Actually the "legal" ones are the ones that are IN office. They got amnestied in 1986.

Since when did D.C. worry about constitutionality?

Why not just repeal the state income tax? Florida gets by through taxing the tourists, so why can’t California?

If you did this then California would lose a significant amount of government revenue.

With the repeal of the state income tax, the state also has to DOWNSIZE GOVERNMENT. Good luck trying that in California.

Let’s take it easy. My wife and her family are naturalized citizens from Latin America. They spent years and thousands of dollars to follow the law.

It reeks of racism when someone makes a big deal out of new, legal citizens originating in Latin America.

Stick to attacking illegals. And note they’re only a symptom—politicians who feed them and businessmen who hire them are the problem.”

________________

I gave you government stats. Why does that offend you....don’t EVEN pull that racist crappola on me. If the shoe don’t fit...DON’T wear it! ‘Latinos’ are more than represented in both legal and illegal immigration. FACT.

Why should they be so overrepresented? Diversity, my butt.
This isn’t about skin color....it’s about THIN skinned immigrants, who are more than represented by ‘latin countries’. Take your race baiting elsewhere.

Good. There was no argument until you started one.

Diversity, my butt. THIN-skinned immigrants are more than represented by ‘latin countries’.

Excellent point.

CONG TANCREDO TALKED WITH JUAN HERNANDEZ Juan Hernandez is a dual US-Mexico citizen (he was McCain's Hispanic outreach man). Hernandez heads up the Mexican govt's "Ministry of Mexicans Living in the US."

Hernandez told Cong Tancredo that the Mexican govt is plotting to increase the flow of Mexican nationals into the US.......... to serve Mexico’s needs:

(1) to increase $50B a year remittances (30% of Mexican GDP);

(2) to secure US employment for an exploding Mexican population,

(3) to alleviate Mexico's social instability;

(4) to force US taxpayers to provide free training and college degrees to Mexicans who are expected to return to Mexico with these skills.

Hernandez says Mexico demands amnesty b/c millions of Hispanics tied economically, politically and linguistically to Mexico can exert enormous influence on US.... that means billions of US tax dollars transferred to Mexico. US citizens will be forced to subsidize another failed foreign government.

===========================================

THE LATEST RIPOFF The Mexican govt is orchestrating the bogus "drug war" ....they are creating a new class of illegals who are pouring into the US, claiming "persecution." The Mexican govt knows Social Security provides financial aid to these "refugees."

The Mexican gov't is coaching its citizens-----to drain the US Treasury..... to mooch off working class US taxpayers to get monthly Social Security checks under the "refugee" status. Keep in mind these people never paid a dime into the SS system; yet, they can collect seven years straight......and get extended payments if they are politically well-connected.

The SS checks to these "persecuted refugees" can amount to $1000 a month...... and more. Some "refugees" are wealthy Mexican nationals whining about "persecution" in order to collect.

Most of this money is sent back to Mexico where the corrupt govt takes a cut. The Mexican govt expects the Mexican "refugees" to return to Mexico as soon as they setup several identities to get multiple US checks coming in to Mexico monthly.

My in-laws are Cuban, and as conservative as conservative comes, as is their entire community.

You are a very angry and resentful person. Perhaps you should seek counseling.

Yeah, I’m angry. I’m angry because a few of you who happen to be related to a ‘hispanic’ use it for an excuse to destroy the entire country. If your relatives are good conservatives, GREAT! Why are you defending the majority of ILLEGAL and LEGAL aliens who are liberals.

If the shoe fits wear it, otherwise, STUFF it!

BTW, my Mexican Uncle says try being an American instead of a hispandering fool.

What have you ever done to promote securing this country from foreign invasion? Your Cuban relatives should thank God every day they are here instead of some 3rd world hell hole which you want to bring here.

Hmmm...you seem to be mistaken me for someone who supports ILLEGAL immigration.

Try to see through your anger. My in-laws LEGALLY became citizens. It cost them thousands of dollars and years of legal wrangling.

My father-in-law, a business school graduate both in Cuba and in the US (University of Maryland, MBA) started out with 26 cents to his name and built a multi-million dollar company. He puts me to shame.

Or are you threatened when I mention he went graduate school? (And the topper is he speaks six languages.)

You are making no sense. Stop with the personal attacks, because that is ALL you have. Just how many LEGAL immigrants should we allow in. We allow over 2 million now, plus refugees who are not counted in that figure.

So, smart guy? HOW many? Can you answer without insults? Did you learn that tactic from your inlaws?

You’re the angry person, not me. I’m having a nice lunch, and getting ready to go out grocery shopping in a few minutes. You’re shrieking.

I see nothing at all wrong with legal immigration, with the stipulation that the immigrant has something to offer the United States. Costa Rica’s laws concerning immigration seem eminently applicable. They require skills and a standing bank account before one can even become a resident there. Makes sense to me.

My father-in-law had a college education, contacts in business and government...he just lacked capital—which he gained by working three menial jobs for years.

Are you like ninety, and your only contact with reality is
Limbaugh?
