He or she, T driver is a dolt
Boston Herald ^ | 05/13/09 | Howie Carr

How come when Aiden Quinn brags on a Web site about being “FTM” - female to male - that’s celebrating diversity?

But if you bring up his sex change it’s hate speech.

Even if you mention Quinn’s gender-bending in the context of his apparently criminal behavior, it’s still a verboten topic. Why do you, the taxpayer, have any right to know about the person born Georgia Quinn, whose moronic behavior Friday night allegedly caused a $10 million accident that injured 50 Green Line riders and exposed the cash-strapped MBTA to millions in lawsuits?

So what if Quinn had three speeding violations and a traffic accident? Why can’t he put in 23 years at the T and then go out on a full pension like everybody else? He won the lottery, OK.

This whole story has got the Boston media tied up in knots, Politically Correct knots. Because it once again shows certain issues can no longer be discussed in public without the messenger being branded as a homophobe, or transgender-phobe, or something.

Look at the dying Globe. Yesterday, they waited until the 19th paragraph to mention Quinn’s sex change. That’s not burying the lead, that’s cremating it.

But then, promoting this sort of thing seems to be an obsession of the New York Times [NYT] Company. Last month, the Times ran a story about Cleopatra’s tomb, describing her as “essentially a female king, an incongruity that elicits the kind of double take once reserved for men in drag.” Once reserved? So the Times thinks no one does a double-take when they see a guy in drag anymore. All the news that fits the Times agenda . . . Isn’t news what people talk about? And a reporter uses the lead to convey the most interesting new information. This sex-change story was percolating all Monday afternoon. I admit to handling it with kid gloves on my radio show. It was one of those stories you want to credit to someone else. I don’t need a Jay Severin problem.

The comments on the Herald’s Web story were hilarious. A guy with the handle “Jerry Williams” wrote, “MBTA = Massachusetts Bay Transgender Authority. Who knew?” Lotta jokes about Boy Georgia, and the Midnight Train to Georgia. I’ll bet the Globe had some good postings too, but the bow-tied bumkissers were censoring heavily. But one message they didn’t delete - the one dragging George Bush into the mess.

We still don’t know how far along Georgia/Aiden’s transformation is. Is he taking hormones? If so, do the treatments have any side effects? Don’t even think about saying anything or the moonbats will accuse you of a hate crime.

There’s no such thing as a sex change. There is, however, mutilation of the mentally ill.

What better position for a mutilated mentally ill person than mass transit?

When I first saw the picture of the driver, I thought it was a woman, I have to admit!

About the stupidity, though: If everything that stupid anyone did resulted in $10 million in damage and 50 injuries, we'd be even worse off financially and probably everyone in country would be wearing a neck brace! Luckily, most of us most of the time get off with just a bad scare or a red face! ;-)

the latest from the Herald; by the way, when referring to this driver, we should say “she-he-it”. Not only is it politically correct but it’s fun to say.

She-he-it happens! (modified by me below)

The T trolley driver accused of causing last week’s Green Line trolley crash has been ordered to meet with his boss on Friday morning or he will be fired even as the 24-year-old refuses to meet with federal investigators.

Aiden Quinn, who allegedly said he (she/he/it) had been texting his (her/his/its) girlfriend when he rear ended a trolley at Park Street station, has refused to meet with federal investigators and has made no public comment since the Friday night crash. The impact of the crash sent dozens of passengers to the hospital and caused $9.6 million in damages.

Quinn has been ordered to appear Friday in the office of the Chief of Green Line Operations Delores A. Gies to discuss the May 8 crash, according to a letter Gies sent to Quinn yesterday.
