The Senate Foreign Relations Committee held a hearing on the nomination of Harold Koh to be Legal Advisor to the State Department. One of the many concerns with Koh is his belief that international organizations should be empowered to regulate the Second Amendment right to own a firearm. In 2002, Koh gave a speech titled "A World Drowning in Guns" in which he mapped out his vision of global gun control. He supports the idea that the U.N. should be granted the power "to standardize national laws and procedures with regional organizations" and advocated a U.N.-governed regime to force the U.S. "to submit information about their small arms production." Koh believes the U.S. should "establish a national firearms control system and a register of manufacturers, traders, importers and exporters" of guns to comply with international obligations. This regulatory regime would allow U.N. members such as Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea and Iran to have a say in what types of gun regulations are imposed on American citizens.

Even the most fanatical grabber is quite aware that criminals won’t obey the laws. The practical objective of gun control is to keep the law-abiding populace harmless, docile and manageable. The farmer may not have the time or resources to track and kill every predator that menaces his livestock, but he never fails to dehorn his cattle to make milking (and slaughter) safer and easier for him, nevermind that the cattle would have a better chance against predators with the horns in place.
It was never about the “wild” humans, it’s a management strategy for the “domesticated” ones.
We simply MUST keep the heat on ALL our elected officials if we are to stop insane crap like this! Letters, emails, phone calls...all of them help. Remember that the primary goal of all Senators and Representatives is RE-ELECTION.

Lacking the guts and the courage to make a direct assault on the 2nd amendment, the left is taking its standard tack of trying to “sneak up on” the American people and our right to keep and bear arms. These indirect attacks on our freedom and rights have succeeded in the past. But this is truly the lefts holy grail when it comes to emasculating the public. No armed public has ever been enslaved by a dictator. The left know this very well and will do everything in its power to overturn our right to keep and bear arms.
Koh is a good Communist, as is his master, but 0 is playing the Fascist game at the moment, and it seems the left, as well as moderate invertebrates on the right have chosen to embrace the 2nd Amendment, for as long as it helps them deceive voters.

There will be no registering, control, confiscation or turning in of firearms or any other submission to such attempts at treason by current administration cabinet members.

The U.N. is not only a completely dysfunctional and corrupt organization (as in the Oil-for-Food biggest financial swindle in history!) but is run by Third World thug nations who hate the United States and love to display their anti-Semitic hatred of Israel, the only democracy in a region and surrounded by Islamofascist failed states.

Hell, the U.N. can't even wrap things up on the island of Cyprus, and they've been in there since the 1960s. I guarantee that any attempt to enforce such a global gun control law here in the U.S. will result not only in unfortunate things happening to peacekeepers *here*, but elsewhere in the world when we get finished with them here.

It won't the Pakis in little blue helmets. It will be your local police and their friends in federal law enforcement breaking down you door and looking for guns while they club you to the ground just like it was in New Orleans. Oh, and they won't be looking for patriots defending their 2nd amendment rights. They'll be looking for criminals with unregistered or banned guns or criminals with more than the allowed numbers of guns. Or guns that were supposed to be turned in but weren't Anyway when the police come you and I will be "criminals" and they'll "just be doing their jobs."
The press will breathlessly report on your seized "arsenal" and the police will proudly display the weapons that they pried from the "cold dead hands" of the "criminals."

In Rwanda, the Canadian general in charge of peace keeping begged the UN to allow his troops to collect machetes carried by the thugs and used to massacre 800,000 people. The UN Commie maggot Kofi Anan refused the general permission.
