This is just like Cuba, got those neighborhood watchers.
Is this what Obamassiah meant by opening up relations with
cuba?

Those Red Jackets gonna be keeping an eye on us?

I see our future in the past, it isn’t pretty.

Sadly, they are everywhere freedom no longer considered a virtue.

Can you inform the bank what’s happening so they can send someone around to clean up the property?

Cuba instituted the neighborhood watch program shortly after Fidel took over. They found that the people in it...enjoy it. That's sort of a problem for those of us who just want to be left alone.

In wonderful redwood City, California, the city is recruiting citzens to go out on code enforcement walks, to write down all violations, for follow up by the enforcers. the recruitment includes children, to make matters worse, they even mention it can be used for school credit.

Someone should challenge this in court with a demand to interrogate the accuser. Since the little shites have already been ruined, I would have no problem with this. Consider it a good lesson in citizenship.

Very good point. Liberty is a tough responsibility. It's moving out of your parents' home in order to make a home of your own, and getting hit with all the responsibility that comes with your new-found freedom.

Trouble is, we share this country with lots of folks who - both figuratively and literally - can't make it on their own and instead move back in with their parents. They're willing to put up with the rules and curfews in exchange for having somebody else do their laundry and pay the bills.

Everything about this administration reminds me of “1984”.

Someone needs to make a video showing the parallels.
Maybe it would wake a few people up.

Code enforcement came around the other day, and asked my neighbor to tell whoever was mowing that lawn to stop NOW.

in californazia, we are not allowed that Right to know the name of the accuser, we have to go thru an administrative law proceddure, no rights, often you must pay the fine BEFORE guilt is determined. this is something the state did some years ago, they made infractions and code violations exempt from due process. heck the code inspector (nanny guard) is told they dont need no warrent, they just show up!!!!

really bad when you got a liberal nanny state city council pushing for inforcement of nanny laws.

depends on where your at what you can legally do

one tactic that works for me is to make a list of all you can with simular violations in the city (including folks on your council members street!!!) i often get several 100 in a couple hours then tell the city code enforcer boss you will report them all, and that they must enforce all reported violations, once reported they cannot pick and choose, it is all or none. then if they do call your bluff they got 200 angry folks at city council meetings demanding the council do something, not pretty.
this works, usually the city manager thinks smartly and lets the issue go.
that is a good defense, you can also make the city managers life busy by requesting documents via the “california public records act”. you can get reports of all code violations for the last six month if you ask (they have ten days to supply it or else!!!)you can even get then to release the photos they took!!! you can make their office very busy supplying you copies to view free of charge, you only pay if you want to make copies.

you need to get to know the department head and city manager and moyor on a first name basis, and make sure your keep them very busy, very busy indeed, they will soon learn to leave you alone, unless they have some personeal freind that is making complaints aginst you, then you got to fight that.

tell them via the california public records act (look that up ont eh web, it will tell you how it works, ) you wonat ALL records including photos, of your property, complaints, phone records, everything on your case. they must supply it, do this in writing, good luck!!!!!!!!!

You’ve done your homework. Very good. But this shouldn’t be necessary.

Beware of local would-be dictators. Dennis Rader (aka, BTK Killer) was the head of his city’s Compliance Department, and also worked on his county’s zoning and animal control boards. I think sadistic, power-hungry people are often attracted to such posts.
