Hate to say it (not really, given what’s going on) but I have to agree with you. Too, bad. I LOVE my Tahoe and was looking forward to getting a new one with the updated body style. Oh well.

I was surprised Fox and Friends did not catch the part towards the end that there would be tax incentives for those who purchased these cars. Meaning tax hikes to anyone who does not buy them or hangs on to their old faithful.
Then a gentleman came on and said the only way the plans works in other countries is to charge higher taxes on the larger cars.
And on the ABC Good Morning America Browner refuses to answer the tax question because she knows they plan on all the taxes on everything. Three or four times Browner refused to answer the question. But she lied through her teeth that this is what everyone has asked for. People have asked for economic cars throughout hisotry. People have never asked to go poor and have government control their every move.
As obama said this is a firststep to their broader plan. He mentioned Waxman’s cap and trade and carbon tax at $3100.00 a year to each family.
obama and his two socialist party members Solis and Browner move fast. I am really angry at Michael Steele using this catastrophe to request donations to stop democrats from carbon tax legislation. WTH!!! Why do they need money to stop something so evil and sinister as massive taxes that will destroy the middle class? Under the guise of new new taxes to middle class this will be the largest ever tax in history to the middle class and higher. Just do your job, Steele. Or get out!

That leaves Republicans precious little time to stop the Democrats’ energy tax plan that could cost American businesses and families up to $2 TRILLION and cause massive job losses.
Actually, that would be COMMUNISM, not socialism. Socialism would be the means of production actually owned by the workers themselves. When the means of production are owned by a Centralized Government Power (The FEDS), then it would technically be communism.
[And, don’t let the liberals try to fool you with the “but WE the people” own the government — as we all know WE THE PEOPLE haven’t been in control of the government (esp. the FEDS), in a LONG, LONG, time...]
Seriously, Obama should just get it over with now... No use trying to hide his agenda anymore really — like we can’t see it? Anyone who ever studied history knows where this is going... History is doomed to repeat if people don’t learn from it, and the good Lord knows that anyone who came to the age of reason after say the mid-80s - usually don’t have a CLUE as to what Communism REALLY is, or what it really does to people, and to a country as a whole...

I have 3 GM’s in my driveway right now, Silverado 2500, Suburban and a Denali. If the feds hand over GM to the unions, I will never own another

Barack Obama told us, the public, that Chrysler and GM would pay back the loans to protect the taxpayer. But now neither company has to pay it back and not one single politician in Washington has the GUTS to stand in front of a microphone and tell the American people that they’ve just been ripped off.
I am seriously considering not paying my taxes next year.
Next, the federal government will acquire Starbucks and unionize all its employees.

Obama didnt bankrupt Chrysler and GM, he just given the unions whats left. Maybe they’ll be enough union workers to buy these auto’s. My last car was a Toyota and my next truck will be a Toyota. Them Toyota trucks are made right here in Sunny San Antonio Texas, and my brother=in=law works there. Thanks Toyota for providing our family a job and a great auto. Goodbye GM/Chrysler/Fiat and the rest of them union folks!

I thought the bailout was so that GM could AVOID bankruptcy.
If it won’t work for GM, why is it assumed it will work in every other sector?
