Obamas a liar if he says no one escapes from a max prison http://escapingfromprison.blogspot.com/2007/09/escape-from-maximum-security-texas.html

And think about the terrorists' "captive audience" in the prisons where they can spread their hate and indoctrinate others who are already adrift from society, and who may be let out at some point to use this knowledge!

The difference is that if Bush begins debating with Obama, the issue becomes Bush, rather than the issues that actually matter.

LOL. Using your rationale, just substitute Cheney for Bush. In many ways the Left has painted Cheney as the villian and Bush the incompetent puppet. It is up to Bush to make national security the issue, just like Cheney is doing.

Note that, just by being silent, Bush has been forcefully vindicated by Obama himself on several issues -- be it course reversals, or by Obama's approach being demonstrably stupid.

The reason why Obama is changing his position on things like fighting to keep the additional photos from being released is because of pressure from the likes of his own military leaders and Cheney. He can't close Gitmo because the other countries don't want the detainees nor do members of Congree want them in the US. The only reason that Bush is being vindicated is because Cheney is defending those policies and bringing the defense of them to the country. Something they wouldn't get from listening to the speeches or press conferences of Obama. Remember the clamor from the MSM, the Dems, and some Reps that Cheney should shut up. And a number of FReepers agreed with it.

When Cheney speaks, the issues themselves tend to take center stage.

No, the Dems and MSM will try to make Cheney the issue and not the issue of national security. The spin is going on at this very minute. That is the way the Left operates. Obama's speech today was a direct attack on the Bush administration and "the mess" they left for Obama to clean up from the economy to Gitmo. If Bush had any balls, he would speak up instead of allowing Obama to defame him and his administration. And the very real possibility exists for a "Truth Commission" and prosecutions.

What has the Obama Administration changed that is substantive? All their vaunted change is purely rhetorical. I’m rather happy that they’ve spent all their time wrecking the economy. It takes them away from national security. And why is their biggest problem Cheney? Couldn’t they pick one of our real problems to worry about? Why waste time on political nonsense?

“I would venture a guess the Elitists are laughing at us.”

It’s the Elitists who are truly funny, but they lack a sense of humor.

I agree, Obama is no more apprised of facts and history than I am. Yes, he did exaggerate deaths in that town by a huge amount. I remember that.

And WHO says Kenya is the 57th so called state, since it officially mentions “NATIONS”. Just because Obama is from there doesn't make it the 57th.

Nope. Your well-known grasp of subtle distinctions seems to have abandoned you. Again.

In our area, we are surrounded! When you move to a neighborhood in transition, you expect the liberals so we are outnumbered. But I still love it downtown. But you are correct, Nashville is definitely blue.

I like Beckel’s suspenders. He looks like William Jennings Bryan AND Clarence Darrow in one pair of trousers.

“I have been bound by the Constitution”

If we’re going to apply the Constitution to POW’s, shouldn’t we have brought Goering here for a civilian trial? And don’t we owe his family reparations for this violation of his civil rights?

.

I don’t think “57th state has anything - in this case - to do with Islamic nations

I believe it to be the simplest of explanations :

Barack Hussein Obama Junior has a simple and stupid mind

Otherwise - if he was truly brilliant - as one idiot Presidential “historian” told Imus on live talk radio at WABC :

Michael Beschloss told Don Imus that Obama’s IQ was “off the charts”.

Imus asked him what his IQ was. Beschloss: “I actually don’t know, but it’s probably really high, don’t you think?”

.

I “think” Michael

You just babble and write fictional books!
