There's no 'middle ground' on terrorism. Playing politics with terrorism is a road to another attack.

Geez, the Cheney’s are a one family tag team these days.
There’s Lynn jumping off the top rope now, headed for a body blow to Obama on the mat.
How long before we see Mrs. Obama’s response?
"Shut your pie hole, honky"?
where can I see/hear o’s speech? anyone know?
You mean one of their kids, right? Unless I'm mistaken, Liz is Cheney's offspring.
My question is....where is Bush’s response? Bush is being scary quiet and out of sight...is he hiding out, or is he up to some behind the scenes stuff?
She'll have to wait in line behind McCain, Grahamesty, Powell and Scarborough.
Gotta hand it to the Cheneys for highlighting this vicious game by 0bama in demonizing the Bush administration while in many ways backing off and continuing a lot of what they did while playing his games. They should demand an apology because it is damning that they have no other plan and want to continue to trash the Bush administration who kept us safe and secure.
I don’t think the video is up yet, but it will be soon I’m sure.
Yep. Obama's speech sounded more like a 'it's not my fault' campaign speech.
they said LIZ....NOT LYNN....IS THIS THE DAUGHTER?
LOOKS LIKE SHE WILL BE THROWING HER NAME AROUND FOR SUMPTIN?
MEEEZ THINKS SOOOOOOOOOOOO
The more I hear Liz Cheney, the more I am reminded of her Mom Lynn and also her Dad. She isn’t afraid to tell it like it is which is so refreshing.
I didn’t think even Obama would be that low as to use his kids. Then again....
The patrician Bush family finds such hand soiling unseemly.
When I first saw this thread, I flashed to Lynn Cheney instead of Liz. All Dick, Lynn, and Liz are each sharp as a tack.
I think Bush is still practicing what he believes in. That is, do not criticize the current administration—unlike Bozos Carter and Clinton who were always slamming Bush. Shame on them. I’m glad Dick is no longer under Bush’s thumb—Bush may even think Dick should not be opening his mouth.
Oh she is much nicer than I am. I found Obama’s speech incredably niave and quite frankly dangerous.
#15. And she stays so calm and firm about it. Doesn’t get riled in the least.
“The more I hear Liz Cheney, the more I am reminded of her Mom Lynn and also her Dad. She isnt afraid to tell it like it is which is so refreshing.”
And she’s smart enough to have all the ammo at hand when arguing with libs. If you missed an earlier post of mine on her ‘debate’ with Eugene Robinson, check out:
An impressive display of her talents.
My guess is he's hiding. When America elected Zero, I'd think for President Bush, it was as if a woman he'd been dating for 8 years decided to switch sides and come out of the closet.
The 'disappointed' (although said) was MSNBC's headline. The actual video gets a bit more toward your ideas :-)
The look on Dicks face says it all. barry probably ought to be very careful, Dick still has friends in town.
Unlike the new man at the top, Bush has class and is acting in the best traditions of former Presidents. He does not need to speak for himself, history will do that for him and I suspect it will do so far more kindly than the current chattering class presumes.
No matter how many times I see that photo . . . I love it more the next.
I do like Cheney.
He has a certain knack for not chewing out the part, rather he just nibbles around the edges and lets it fall out.
Liz Cheney is FABULOUS!! What a great offspring of two strong parents!!
Pres. Clinton broke with tradition by criticizing President Bush during his terms.
President Bush, whatever his flaws, has infinitely more class than the Clintons. I don’t think he is not going to say anything about a sitting President or his policies.
V.P. Cheney should be president, but that’s another story. It is remarkable what Cheney is doing. Finally, there is someone in the Conservative camp willing to defend their actions and challenge the racial left. We see the success of our conservative ideas have when Obama starts defending his decisions about Gitmo and terrorism publicly. The contrast between V.P. Cheney and Obama is stark. And, the public is beginning to understand that the Bush/Cheney strategy for dealing with Muslim terrorist was good for America. What is also curious for me is the length in which Obama, a professed christian, goes to defend Muslims. Yet, he is at odds with Christians in America.
” Bush has class and is acting in the best traditions of former Presidents”
Not only class, but smarts. When you speak with one voice there is only one interpretation. With two voices, there could be confusion. President Bush recognizes that Vice President Cheney has a better grasp on the security matter and defers to him.
Agreed. George & Laura Bush prefer to stay out of this mud fight. Not out of cowardice or Machiavellian schemes, but a simple respect for the Office. Not out of respect for The First Thug because he deserves none, but for the Office.
Mr. Bush is an adult; he's not a narcissistic child such as Bubba, Gore, Kerry, Obama, ad nauseaum.
>>>> The look on Dicks face says it all. <<<<<
That’s a good photo and I hadn’t seen it before. thanks newgeezer for posting.
My read on Cheney’s expression (based on what he’s been saying almost since Jan 20) is “You’re walking into some serious nightmares, hope you get good advisers.”
Cheney is still fighting the terrorists, and I mean that in a good way. Good for all of us.
God Bless Dick Cheney!
You're right, of course.
Liz is a chip off the ole block. She’s great!!
LOL.......O sent Beckel out to bloviate and show faux outrage.
Bush has been slamed and slaughtered by libtard MSM over and over and he became a scarecrow/tool used by the left and by OBAMAN....
I think it’s maybe too late for BUSH to defend his policy.
It should have been done at least 2 years ago!
Now CHENEY is free and he can speak as he wants to
I don’t blame them for staying out of this fight.
I do blame them for not communicating effectively for eight years while the Democrats taught lies to the American people.
Only now he’s also having to fight the terrorist in the WH too. <<<<<
And the MSM of course.
And Pelosi and her crowd.
Cheney has a VERY serious agenda to keep protecting America.
He must have a damned good reason for it.
I didn't watch it myself, but I'd bet it went somewhere along the lines of "Blah, blah, blah, Bush's fault". I've got better things to do with my time than watch that.
Cheney's speech was well worth the time commitment, though. He's a real patriot.
If Bush didn't defend himself while in office, why would he start now?
She is great. Which is why the recent MSM attacks on her that try to link her to both Bristol Palin and Megan McCain are so insulting. Liz is a very accomplished attorney and public servant in her own right and quite capable of taking the fight to the Dems intellectually and ideologically.
