If Colin Powell’s behavior is the “new” direction of the republican party, please count me out. I will not donate another penny to the GOP national party until this nonsense is dealt with. A good start would be to terminate Powell’s membership on the Republican party membership committee.

Think about it; would you keep a guy on your team that overtly supported the other side in a competition?

RINO’s like Powell are killing the GOP. They have no convictions and would not know a principle if it hit them between the eyes. They are ever changing and fluid to fit the moment. Powell needs to stop saying he is a Republican. He is not .

Powell: "President Obama only wanted to close Guantanamo to make Europeans happy, Powell said, “No, we’re doing it to reassure Europeans, Muslims, Arabs, all the people around the world, that we’re a nation of law.”"

What you mean we?

0bama has already assured the Americans that he is not interested in transparency (no release of his own records) and has a vision of a country that is not about the rule of law (nationalization of the auto industry and abrogation of contracts and a demand for a judiciary governed by emotion).

Colin Powell is not a RINO he is a Democrat.

Only a Democrat would vote for Barrack Obama for president given his history of siding with racist, black separatists, friendships with domestic terrorists, only real work experience being a ‘community organizer’.

Powell is a Democrat. End of Story.

RINO’s like Powell are killing the GOP.

Which has been EXACTLY their objective from day one IMHO!

How about we list all of the Republican ideals Powell supports:

1.

We REALLY need to start a party purge and get rid of all RINOs. Let the rats have them. Start with Powell, Steele, the Maine snow queens, Crist, Ridge and anyone else that thinks we should work with the rats. Even Gingrich is teetering on the edge. They think the so-called “moderates” will vote Republican. BULL. They vote for the rats, we won’t lose a thing by dumping the RINOs except to strengthen our base - THAT’s where the votes to win will come from - when we bring the Christians, Patriots and true CONSERVATIVES back to the polls.

If he was “still” (ever) a Republican, he would not have endorsed a socialist for President.

Sorry Colin - don’t let the door hit you in the @ss on the way out.

Colin, it's a matter of what you say versus what you do. What you do tells us more about what you are than what you say.

Precisely.

This is some kind of kabuki dance he is performing here. Now he claims to be Joe Republican after endorsing the leftist most candidate that won a major election in the history of the US. Come off it Powell, you have the stones to tell the Republicans that they are too “right” because you voted for Stalin’s effeminate chocolate nephew and you need to justify it. Wake me when you shut down talk radio as part of the “diversity” campaign Comrade General.

The media loves putting this comedy show on and that is why they refuse to ask Powell the tough questions on Obama. If abortion is such a polarizing issue then why does Powell pick a candidate that is a complete disaster being the only Illinois State senator to vote to allow survivors of abortions to die in garbage cans? How is that finding common ground? How is looting the treasury in the grandest wasteful spending of all time anywhere near your Republican roots? In fact a good question of Powell, what is it about Obama that makes your Republican legs start twitching?

They are putting Powell out there to try and get Obama middle votes - he is doing this as a favor to Obama. The second benefit he performs for his Dem masters is to demonize the right and drive people leftward and into the needle marked arms of the Democrats. Powell, just join the Dems and be done with it, you are in solidarity with your Black Brother, and we can understand that, it’s logical, but don’t tell me Obama has any Republican values because he doesn’t, period.

If you are a weak Republican, a Rockefeller Republican, there is nothing in Obama’s bag of tricks that could appeal to you. And stop with the line “the world hates us and we need a new leader” because the world hates everybody, they only respect strength.

I can’t speak for others, but it is obvious to me. Stupid? I think too many have fell for the leftist propaganda.

The leftist has had help too. Powell is a good example. They have also had foreign help in the way of financial and activism.

Powell was dead set against removing Saddam. He was feeding bad information to the media while Sec. Of State in the Bush administration.

He was the one who inititally was intent on shooting down any connection between Saddam and al Qaeda. Saving his own skin. Recommended to Bush 1 not to remove Saddam.

The evidence I came up with is legitimate (Saddam & al Qaeda connection). http://www.thexreport.com/the_prague_connection1.htm As far as I am concerned, its the best available. So why did they not use it? Powell is the answer.

There is a much bigger story to all of this, and the liberals want to ignore it. Why, because it implicate the Clinton administration and failures - lawsuits, blame etc..

IMHO Colin Powell lost his way many years ago. Some time after his tours in the real world - Vietnam - he lost his bearings. After multiple trips to the open air insane ward called Washington D.C. he became infected with liberalism. He flew his liberal colors high and wide during Libby’s slow political death - either he didn’t know that the leak was in his State Department (bad) or he knew and didn’t step forward (worse).

I have been in and around the military since 1969 and I have never met a single good officer who worried about his credentials. That, in and of its self, is a political term. I was blessed with the friendship of a senior NCO very very early on. Among the several excellent pieces of advice he gave me were:

“Sir, don’t ever worry about your creditability. By the time you start worrying about it you have long since lost every bit of it.”

“Sir, you wake up every morning with a small piece of creditability - enough for your morning coffee. After that you have to earn more by your deeds and actions. If you are lucky you’ll have enough for beer at the end of the day. You can’t save creditability; you got you earn it daily.”

As Powell descends into the dark hole of irrelevance he will speak more and more of his past not realizing that all that does is to mark him as a man without creditability, relevance, and, worse, without honor.
