So whats to be done and who is going to do it?
That's what I am also trying to figure out. I think right now the ball is the court of the U.S. Bishops. They will be meeting soon to discuss what course of action to take. I feel confident that something big will happen as a result of that -- not a nuclear option at this point, but something clear and unequivocable. That at least is my hope and prayer. I think the Church needs our prayers now. I am saying a novena to St. Jude. This is a historic moment for the Church in the U.S., and I feel that as bad as things may seem, God has a way of making good out of evil. This could be a major turning point for the Church and its relationship to Catholic Universities. I feel a sober hopefulness because I think there is much cause for optimsim.
