Though this guy was probably the worst human being on earth, the only one that should be allowed to take his life is the Lord.

If you’re NOT praying for Hitler, Pol Pot, even Satan, you obviously missed the Christ’s message.

lol....you Birkie Christians kill me.

is that what Jesus Freaks (hippie believers from the 70s) became when they grew up?

I do not support this. He should have been prosecuted, not killed.

I don't support it either. But the problem, of course, is that he bought off the prosecutors, judges, and even the governor. And he has massive funds to pay his lawyers, while the pro-life organizations are having difficulties raising money in hard times.

So how likely was it that he would ever be convicted of anything? And, of course, if he had been, he would have immediately appealed, with his bottomless pockets and the support of taxpayer funded organizations such as Planned Parenthood.

I just did a quick drive by of DU. It took all of 5 posts before someone commented that we are celebrating here at FR.

And less than that for them to smear the whole *right wing* movement as hypocrites.

Doesn't matter, Liberalism is a mental disorder, their minds are warped, it's the same with the death penalty argument, they say how can a person be pro-life and for the death penalty unless they're hypocrites, and most pro-lifers are for the death penalty.

It's a fine line to walk, putting people to death for killing the innocent. Is it a deterrent, justice, vengeance? So what does one do who believes in the death penalty when the state itself sanctions the killing of the innocent? What did the German people do when their State sanctioned the killing of the innocent?

) Because this is still the murder of a human being; even though the work that Tiller did was utterly and intrinsically evil, the goal of stopping him could never be used to justify this as a means.

If you were sitting your your couch cleaning your gun and Osama Bin Laden came to the door, would you be justified in killing him?

If so, then NEVER say Never.

The tragedy is also that an abortionist is looked up to as a hero, and a baby as the enemy.

You are so right.

“This is a dark day for the pro-life movement. “

But a good day for unborn babies in Kansas, especially those who were on Tiller’s hitlist for Monday morning.

Their mothers may take pause and think about what they were about to do.

Or they may be afraid to go near the clinic.

This is a good thing.

I couldn't disagree more. You have no concept of the scale of the abortion problem if you think this did anything. It's just ammo for the pro-abortionists.

This is a bad thing.

Violence like this doesn’t accomplish anything of value. A crime is still a crime, and I hope the perp gets what’s coming to him.

Rader was Prident of the Parish Council, a Boy Scout leader, and contributed his famous spaghetti sauce to the potluck dinners there.

He also took the corpse of one victim inside the Fellowship Hall, where he further abused it, posed it, and took photos taken into evidnce by the police.

Not to rag on the Lutherans. There have been plenty of Catholic, Methodist, and Presbyterian serial killers, too.

Awful lot of wink and a nod support here for a cold blooded murderer

Don't be ridiculous, nobody supported Tiller's activities.

Where would you have stood, in 1776?

What, exactly, do the law abiding do, when their GOVERNMENT no longer feels restrained by “the law”?

I think armed revolution is not necessary, at this point in history, but some disagree.

That is between the revolutionaries and their God, just as Tiller claimed that abortion was between a Woman and her God!

Frankly, I think you are being harder on our side than you are on the abortionists.

The abortionists CREATED the chaos we live in.

That does not justify violence, but it does explain the violence.

Just so. Liberals will smear those who support the right to life no matter what. And they can always dredge up an old clinic bombing if they want an illustration—never mind that instances of violence against abortion clinics are extremely rare, far rarer than violence against people peacefully praying on the sidewalks.

I don’t excuse this deed, but it is not typical or symptomatic of those who oppose the murder of innocent human beings. Almost all the violence has been on the other side—police brutality, people running their cars up on the sidewalk to mow down people who are praying there, security guards using violence against protestors, and so forth. But that doesn’t get reported.

That’s the Christian way. Why do so many of our brothers miss the mark? Could you imagine Christ celebrating this event?

I don’t support the murder of this guy, but the way they (DU) are holding this doctor up as some sort of hero is disgusting beyond belief.

Your second reason is possible and the best case scenario for the pro-life movement out of all this. But even so, it would require honesty from the MSM to point out in a way that grabs people’s attention how vile Tiller was. Most people depend on headlines and soundbites and they will simply say “abortionist killed.” I’m not very hopeful that this will not be used against the pro-life movement in a BIG way, in a Reichstag fire way.

But perhaps it won’t.
