Cavuto just had a guest conservative to discuss Obama's Universal Healthcare. According to Fox, Obama is about to unveil a new employees' tax -- approximately 25% -- on all health insurance provided by an employer, to help pay for universal care. The estimate discussed is an additional $ 59 billion in new taxes this year, for an estimated $1 trillion in new taxes to fund Obamacare by 2019.
The next guest -- a Liberal -- is now screaming at Cavuto that Obama's plan will be 'wonderful." Cavuto replies that no one knows what the healthcare plan will be -- there are zero known details. Guest is shouting over Cavuto, will accept NO criticism of Obama. Says that ObamaCare has been in the works for seven months and all the details are public. Cavuto looks like he's going to have a stroke. Break for commercial.
McCain was bludgened by Obama on workers being taxed on healthcare; Obama swore he would never do such a thing. To you Obama voters: how's that Hope and Change coming for you?
BTW, that tax cut for 95% of voters? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
And the GOP will probably be along for the ride.
I think a 25% tax on employer provided health care would be the thing that would make my liberal friends angry, finally. That would hit most of them in the pocketbook (and most of them, while liberal, will not take kindly to THEIR income being slashed). At least that’s what I predict.
Does obama intend to impose htis new tax by Executive Order (like chavez in Venezuela) - or have it rubber stamped by the “socialist dems” that pretend to serve as the people’s elected representatives?
Inquiring minds want to know
I'll wager they blame George W. Bush for it.
I’m glad I make less than 250k so I won’t be affected. /s
Depending on the coverage that could be anywhere from $1,000 to $3,500 in TAX.
Yeah, that will get the economy going.
Ain’t national socialism grand? (sarc)
So, does this encourage employers to drop their employee health insurance?
Promises, promises....what are those again?
The floggings will cease when the morale improves!
And I believe you predict correctly.
More like... Thank you sir. May I have another?
I have no liberal friends...I cleaned house Nov-2008.
Tipping Point yet?
Hmm a 25% tax to pay for the “free” healthcare while you still pay, no you pay MORE for your healthcare.
There has to come a point where people at least peacefully revolt.
Good for Cavuto.
“So, does this encourage employers to drop their employee health insurance?”
No, why would it?
