Ticket for parking on grass in my own yard(PARKING TICKET)

In Texas a while back, a friend of mine was sitting at his picnic table in his front yard drinking a Budweiser. A cop pulled up and gave him a ticket for consuming alcohol before noon on Sunday. It held up.

2. There were no dogs living under, near, next to the car.
3. The car was just driven to the grocery store.
4. No its a 93 Mustang and we wouldn’t use it in the demo-derby.

In that case, pay your ticket and learn a lesson
about the law. Laws to prevent parking on unpaved areas
are common. You might look into some cement pave stones
under each tire to comply with the law. I doubt it says
how large the pavement must be - just paved.

Jessica, are you still whining about this ticket? The law has been written to prevent junk cars from being left sitting in yards because it devalues the entire neighborhood. You just got caught in the trap when you shouldn't have been. Pay the dang ticket and learn from it.

This is one of many thousands of such laws.

By the way, if you don't comply in a hurry, you will eventually be surrounded by heavily-armed masked men shouting obscenities at you, shooting your dog, then Tazering and handcuffing you (if you live that long).

I agree with a lot of posters, what the heck are you doing parking on the grass?

If it's on my property, it's my grass, and I'll do anything I want on my own property and my own grass.

Update on the parking in the grass ticket. Channel 5 news came by the house today and interviewed the 82 year old lady across the street(she got 4 tickets in 2 nights) and last week the head of the ticket enforcement came by the house and took all of our tickets and said they were waived. It will be on Channel 5 news tomorrow at 5 o’clock. www.fox5dc.com Also the ticket guy got fired because he wrote $7200.00 in tickets in one night. So yay we won....wooohooo

Lots of people park on their lawns in my neighborhood lol
Lots of folks don’t have driveways although people often park on the grass for other reasons as well.

lol I agree but he got exposed so they had to fire him. They only do the right thing when they get caught.

I really object to people parking. on the edge of my lawn. How can I prevent this?
