There are some very nice lesbians at my office and among my circle of friends and acquaintances who are slender and athletic. And let’s be frank, many people heterosexuals are overweight, too. Friends tell me that the reason is a lesbian who gets heavier feels no pressure to take weight off because she will probably be accepted by her partner, while we straight women are always trying to make ourselves attractive to men by improving our appearance.

I don’t think I’ve led a sheltered life - I’ve actually known more than a few transgendered people, starting in the 70s, but I just never heard the term.

Chastity, you really need to earnestly seek God and start a new direction in your life. You may not see it, but you are one really screwed up human being who needs to step back and realize just what kind of damage you are doing to your physical and mental well-being. Extracating yourself from the Hollywood lifestyle and your celebrity friends would be a good start.

She won’t be a man. She will just be a deformed woman playing at being a man. You can’t change a woman into a man through surgery, any more than you can change a horse into a zebra by painting stripes on it.

As a Christian I feel sad for her, do I understand it? no
I think we should just be kind without compromise to the scriptures, and realize...Children are molded by thier parents, society and evil when the presence of GOD is missing.....

You mean when Sonny was still around?

He sure cleaned up Palm Springs, he’d hate to see it now.

You can’t change a woman into a man through surgery,

So you say. But they can get an erection and have sex, although they can't ejaculate.

They can wear men's clothing and they can go to the ballgame and belch loudly, they can wear their pants down low under their gut, and they can play poker until 3 in the morning. What else is there?

The y chromosome. I don’t feel any need to encourage this poor person’s delusion. She will always be a “she.”

The y chromosome

There may be more to it genetically than just the y chromosome, but I will grant you it is an imperfect transition. Still, I think she will be happier, although I doubt her level of "happiness" is one I would be satisfied with.

Sperm, reproductive organs, natural production of hormones. Come on.

There was a great article a few weeks ago about these “doctors” collaborating in gender disorders instead of attempting to cure them.

There are many women post menapausal (and post surgery) without the latter two, and they are still classified as "women". But certainly it is a incredibly pampered society that would make these expensive surgeries available without first requiring some serious psychological counseling first.
