They’ve been discovering Noah’s ark there since I was a kid. Leonard Nimoy even narrated its discovery.

Bingo.
How long does it take to get up to a mountain and check it out?

Again???

No one can ever prove it's Noah's Ark just like they can't prove the Shroud was the image of Jesus HIMSELF.

Was there a great flood?? Why not??...We saw the workings of a Tsunami in our lifetime.

The History Channel and The Discovery Channel have done mega “wooo we found the Ark” stories.
Its always the same experts and the same fuzzy videos, grainy satellite and still pictures.
Will it be found maybe, but not now.

I recall reading this stuff in the 70’s, along with Late, Great Planet Earth, Bigfoot and books on the coming ice age.

It would seem the todays tech would allow someone to go up and check out rumors like this. Not easily, but very possible.

If I recall correctly, the reason they haven’t been able to get people up there is because the Turkish government won’t issue permits for them. For some reason, a muslim government doesn’t want evidence of Biblical events made public ... go figure.

THe Turkish govt is not Moose-limb. Not yet anyway.

It could be they don’t want to waste money rescuing nutcases lost in the mountains, taken hostage by local hill tribes (Turkish hillbillys - now there is a thought) or any number of reasonable excuses.

As far as the ark itself - it is as likely to be found as the UFO base at the HAARP installation....

Thanks for the clarification -- I thought they were.

I just remember hearing that even the most credible of groups who had applied for governmental permits to go up there were constantly being denied -- and access without a permit was strictly forbidden.

LIFE magazine did an article on it back about 1960. Not new news at all.

We can’t keep BASE jumpers off national monuments, controlled buildings, etc.

If it was there, hundreds of people would have seen it, touched it, and photographed it.

And then there’s them “satellite’ thingies.

The Russians claimed they found it pre-WW1. Supposedly the evidence was destroyed by the atheist commies after the revolution. Before that, some monks supposedly built a shrine on the mountain out of timber from the ark. They’ve been finding the ark for centuries.

Keep in mind that Mount Ararat is located in Eastern Turkey on the borders of Iran, Armenia (formerly U.S.S.R.), and Nakchivan. IOW, a potential powerkeg.

Funny how these "discoveries" lack any specific coordinates.

Didn't anyone take a compass and a map? GPS?

I’ve pheasant hunted in Turkey while on military leave in 1990.

If you think anybody can’t get to the reported site of “Noah’s Ark”, you’re displaying your own naïveté.

Noah’s Ark.
If it was there, we’d have PROOF by now.

You make a great point. There are people living in trailers and storing their clothes in cinder blocked cars that still have a GPS unit sitting on top of their tackle box.

Just out of curiosity...

The Arc contained one pair of every animal. Did it also include one pair of every human racial type or did the races evolve after the flood?

Well, the muslims believe in Noah’s ark also, so I think their is some other reason if they are preventing people from trekking up there and trying to dig up something underneath the ice sheet.

That would mean no traditional marriage either.

Do the math. Sooner or later the generations would have to mingle and multiply.

And I can't begin to tell you what happens with mixed blood types. And if they were all the same blood type, why are there now so many variations?

A number of “explorers” who have attempted to climb Mt Arrarat have been turned away by the government, and forbidden to enter that area. Not sure where you have been, but these are reputable men (John Morris, Bob Cornuke, etc)

Please explain how this answers the question about the various human races being on the Arc or not. Is this saying that non-Jewish races were included but they are not clean?

Not at all. I wasn’t even focused on the racial aspect of your question, just clarifying a miss conception many have that only 2 of each animal was taken onto the ark. jews were not even identified at this time. Abram aka Abraham was the first “Hebrew”. the term “Jew”, from what I understand can from Judah - one of the sons of Israel - likely from Judea which was what the southern kingdom was called fater the civil war. Jew became a collective term for all Israelites - most of which lived in Jedean are after the Assyrians swept away most of the northern kingdom around 650 BC. BTW there are no lost tribes - all twelve tribes were and are represented in the Judean area since many from the northern tribes migrated to the south during the apostacy started by Jeroboem (spelling).

Two of each creature, male and female, were taken into the ark, except for “clean” animals, of which seven were taken, and used in sacrifices after the flood.

Thank you for your reply. I knew that languages were created at the Babel Tower incident. I did not realize that races were also created.

That must have been a shocking day. Not only does your buddy start talking funny, but he also turns black or yellow.

I only have The Bible as a reference. You can read as well as I. Start at Genesis 6 and continue til you get to chapter 11 - ie the story of Bab-EL, Nimrod, then you'll find the names of the scattered races that spawned from the 8 ark passengers. I never attempted to answer your subsequent question - as i pointed out, my response was strictly about the 2 vs 7 animals.

Apparently you have something else to say, so just say it instead of waiting for me to step on whatever trigger you're anticipating.
