Passes 219-212, 8 Repuiblicans for it could have killed it. 3 not voting.
Where have I heard that before?!
I don't know. They held their fingers to the wind until well after the R's voted, both on the amendment and the bill.
I just wish there was a snowball's chance in hell that the bulk of Americans could have known what the rats just did to our country.
Of course they didn't read it.
A legislator should be embarrassed to vote on any legislation he or she has not taken the time to read and understand.
I hope to find out whether my congressman is capable of embarrassment.
Let’s see... Congressman Joe Blow, I hate paying $2.65 per gallon of gasoline. I want to pay $7.00.
Not letting up on him much. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_LoBiondo
Is 8 enough repub votes for the dems to claim a ‘bipartisan’ passage in the house?
Or how about really bringing them to their knees by slipping in a mandate that requires the Congress to carry the same health care package that they plan to vote in for us common folk.
For the current Democrat party, only one Repub is needed I imagine.
Get the people to watch the remarks of the President admitting that “electricity rates will skyrocket”.

Then encourage them to call their Senators. Do their legwork for them. Supply them with the phone numbers. Some folks are lazy but they do understand paying their electric bil. After all, it could be 4 or 5 less cases of beer a month.
“Excuse the f*** out of me if I’m confused by all of this BS.”
That’s the plan baby. NEXT up - Emergency Health Care Plan needs to be passed QUICKLY before any more little children die.
The markets will go up. You read it here first.
Really, it was 4 pubs who passed it. 4 switching to “Nay” would have meant defeat.
Frank A. LoBiondo (born May 12, 1946) is a Traitor Who Voted For Cap And TAX!! American Republican Party politician, who has been a member of the United States House of Representatives since 1995, representing New Jersey’s Second Congressional District (map). The Second Congressional District is at the southern end of New Jersey, and by far the biggest Congressional District in the state. It includes all of Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland and Salem Counties and parts of Camden, Gloucester and Burlington Counties.
Born in Bridgeton, New Jersey, he attended Georgetown Preparatory School, and then he received a B.A. in Business Administration from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He worked for twenty-six years in a family-owned trucking company.
LoBiondo served on the Cumberland County Board of Chosen Freeholders from 1985 to 1987 and was a member of the New Jersey General Assembly (the lower chamber of the New Jersey Legislature) from 1988 to 1994. In 1992, he ran for the House but was defeated by William Hughes in a closer race than would be expected for a challenger against a popular incumbent. When Hughes declined to run for reelection in 1994, LoBiondo ran again and was elected to the House. He is a member of the Armed Services Committee and Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. LoBiondo is a member of the moderate Republican Main Street Partnership.

I have no idea why so many are focussing on the 8 GOPers. The so-called conservative dims who voted for this POS should be the real targets. Let’s keep the blame where blame is due - the dims.
‘Zactly. I figured they would have the actual vote after every working American was asleep.
AND A TRAITOR!
Bookmarked
A badge of honor my FRiend.
A badge of honor indeed.
LEAVE THIS DEFUNCT UNION NOW!!
Were there any so-called conservative Dems voting for this?
We shall see....
This is my rep. She’s a hardcore D and voted for this travesty without blinking an eye.I’m putting her on notice that she is a target for defeat in 2010. It doubtless is an uphill fight in this heavily Democrat district, but any steps, however small, have to be taken now to overturn this statist oligarchy.
I think he votes no.
The House is a lunatic asylum, and it’s easier to get away with chicanery there.
The thing is, the 8 pub defectors struck a double blow against us. How so, you might ask. Here’s how:
The 8 pub yes votes freed up 8 rats to vote no and thus save themselves in their own districts. So, not only did the rats prevail, but now we’ve got 8 pubs who will likely get voted out instead of having the strength of incumbency going for them, and 8 corresponding rats who get to look like heroes and will likely win re-election. That’s 16 seats negatively/adversely affected for pubs.
BTW, we only needed to hang onto 4 of those pubs to defeat the bill (216-215). The pub whip and minority leader failed.
Who were the three who didn’t bother to vote, anyone know yet?
Yeah, that looks familiar.
Those 8 pubbies were likely in LIEBERAL districts, also...so it was a trade between “partners”....SCUM, all of them.
[Passes 219-212, 8 Repuiblicans for it could have killed it]
I doubt it, but they could have forced 8 Rats who were allowed to vote “no” to vote “yay.” Just stupid on the part of these RINOs.
I am ashamed of our elected leaders. This was a bad bill no matter which way you look at it. I hope and pray that the so-called ‘republicans’ who voted for this garbage are all thrown out of office in the next election. They must pay for what they’ve done.
It sounds like LoBiondo is from a pretty conservative district. I think he can kiss his ass goodbye.
Sorry Eagle6. Please realize that all this socialistic crap is being shoved down the neck of every person in congress, and all of our citizens. The purpose is to intimidate, and confuse, (Chicago Politic). Keep people off their toes. Keep people confused. Congressman Forbes’ amendment was an attempt to slow Washington, D.C. He slowed it for 15 minutes. If you will excuse the F*(< out of me, the Amendment was to replace the 1,200 page bill H.R.2454 with Congressman Forbes’ amendment.
Eagle6, keep yer eye open. Your eyes, and senses are keen. I excuse the f*** out of you.

I don’t give anything to the GOP. A couple of days ago, I had the pleasure of telling McCain’s campaign folks that I wouldn’t give him a penny because he’s a candy-assed, pantywaisted democrat running on the GOP’s dime.
HOWEVER, it IS worth remembering that the Republicans won’t get the credit - or the blame - for this bill. And if it passes the Senate, it won’t be the GOP that does it.
If it passes, it will help destroy the economy - not that Barry needs a lot of help on that end. And eventually, voters who can’t fit their fat butts into Barrymobiles, and who pay $600/month for air conditioning here in AZ-8 (Giffords is a reliable Rat vote) - eventually, this WILL come back to haunt them. We just need to survive the repeat of 1979 first...!
Then it's time for some states to secede.
The 21st century Stamp Act passes.
What were they promised???
I pray those in the senate will have some common sense. Those 8 republicans probably visited Pelosi’s office for free ice cream.
What about the 3 that didn’t vote!
November 4, 2008 - America Suffers Severe Injuries
January 20, 2009 - America Lapses Into A Coma
June 26, 2009 - The Plug Is Pulled And America Dies
RIP America, you fought a long hard fight, you’ll be missed.
That'd be a first. The American people just don't care.
What the heck???????????????? He won’t be reelected. There are too few conservatives in WA and to finally get one in Congress and have him turn on this most important bill is outrageous!
vaudine
Something I don’t quite get..........is Mary Bono-Mack separated from her husband, Congressman Connie Mack? The reason I ask is that I thought congressmen were supposed to live in their respective districts.
The 8 traitors have absolutely no excuse for voting for this disaster. Boehner spent over an hour highlighting all the garbage that was found just in the 300 page amendment. How you can vote for this bill after listening to all of the junk thrown in at the last minute is beyond comprehension.
When this bill brings economic disaster, which it absolutely will, they need to be held just as accountable as all the ‘rats.
2010: NOT ONE PENNY FROM THE RNC TO THESE TURNCOATS!
TEXAS! MY HOME AND HEART—TEXAS!!!
Sen. Inhofe (R-OK) just said,”The House will pass ANYTHING. This bill will NOT pass the Senate. They won’t get more than 34 votes. You can thank our Founding Fathers for the caps and balances they wrote into our Constitution.”
I just sent my Blue Dog Dim, who voted Yay, a letter. Believe me, I wanted to say much more.
Congressman Boyd,
Your vote today for Cap and Trade proves that you have forgotten that you work for the citizens of District II. An honorable elected official would have voted the way his constituents wanted.
We have found not one person who wanted this bill passed. It is our belief that many called, as we did, and asked you to vote against this very destructive bill but your allegience is not with us. It isn’t with the Bay County small businesses. It isn’t with the hard working young families. It isn’t with the retired people. It isn’t with the struggling farmers in this district.
You have made activists of us. We intend to contribute to whomever runs against you. We will go door to door and ask others to vote against you. We will stand on street corners with signs that proclaim that you don’t work for us and should not be re-elected.
We will speak up at church, at civic club meetings, in casual conversations in the grocery store, the doctor’s office, at football games, everywhere we happen to be.
Our friends and family will be encouraged to do likewise.
We are willing to go the extra mile for our country. It is a shame that you are not.
Sincerely,
