Why Obama May Lose in 2012
American Spectator ^ | July 07, 2009 | Hunter Baker

Posted on 07/06/2009 2:59:23 PM PDT by RobinMasters

A very wise friend suggested to me that Obama's second term is an inevitability. I have to take issue with him because it seems all too clear to me that the president has abandoned the ironclad strategy for victory. What he should have done was to dedicate himself to fixing the banking/financial system, to restore its foundations, to bring about better rules, and to restore public confidence in the lifeblood of the system. Had he done that, eight years would have been a foregone conclusion.

Instead, he has made the financial system an interesting sideline to go along with his attempts to bring about the eschaton through salvific, wishing-makes-it-so public policy. His current path stands a decent chance of returning the nation to stagflation. And no politician can wear that millstone and make it look good.

Who says he’ll make it that far? Once he loses the house or senate all holds are off.

Please Lord, let all these Obamanuts think it’s in the bag for the second term. It so isn’t. Just let them think so, though, because they will really muck things up for themselves just thinking it is.

What’s to stop him from doing 8 years? Will there still be millions of stupid people in the U.S. in 2012?

If leftists succeed in ending Presidential term limits, then Obama may be President for life. Leftists really don’t care about the proper interpretation of the U.S. Constitution, and they might decide to even end having any more future elections in the U.S.!

Less electoral votes than the other guy. That would be my guess.

I firmly believe he is out to wreck us so badly that there won’t be much of us left by 2012. He’s thinking “The 2012 election be damned, I have my agenda”.

And no politician can wear that millstone and make it look good.

A politician CAN wear that millstone & look good if he's got the Press protecting him.

It will increase by November ‘12, plus leftists will probably succeed in adding illegal immigrants and almost all criminals to their total leftist voter rolls, that’s if leftists even have any more future elections in the U.S. It’s also important to note that ACORN is doing the next census count!

Plus, he can take his chances with reelection in 2012 with ACORN, Soro's money and the MSM running interference for him. So even if the economy is in the toilet, he has a shot at winning in 2012.

And we must never underestimate the ability of the Republicans to snatch defeat from jaws of victory . . .
