Why the hell would any conservative want to be quoted by the enemy as siding with them? This is what I dont understand about Erick Erickson of redstate.com. Are you proud of yourself that you are quoted in the Washington Compost as siding against the person who makes the liberals shake in their panties?
Sadly, the answer for most of these crumb-bums is "yes". Many media conservatives are more media than conservative (Hannity, Hewitt prime examples). Similarly, most of these beltway conservatives are more beltway than conservative.
It took the 2008 election and the rise of Sarah Palin to smoke 'em out.

You left out David Broder, the MSM idea of a ‘conservative’.

“Many media conservatives are more media than conservative (Hannity, Hewitt prime examples).”
I always felt that they are pundits and strategists first, emotionaly charged conservatives second. They are not out for the success of conservatives and they our country, they are out to be right in their political projections. This is especially true for Carl Rove. Anyone who really cared about the future of the country would not publiclly undermine the defacto leader of the conservative movement. No good could come out of it even if you disagree with them.
I am just unsure what you mean about Hannity. Is he criticising Sarah?
