Souter is a liberal yes, but from what I have heard and read he was a very retiring person-— not of an activist disposition. I think the difference between Sotomayor and Souter will be that she will push the envelope harder. But, being that the Supreme Court has to work in a consensual way and can’t be at each others throats, Roberts will reign her in and she’ll wind up being more like Ginsburg.

Wow Senator Graham, you sure are on top of things. We are trading one liberal for another, not that you are upset with that or anything.

I have given up at being surprised at what liberals and Reich's Fuhrer Obama will do. The picture on Drudge of her sitting there agog at the excitement before 'testifying' all the while being coached by the Dem weasel Senators telling her "everything's gonna be okay, we got your back," says it all - it says 'ditsy'.

Words fail me at the effrontery of this adminstration. They are so convinced in the absolute of their power. Hitler, Stalin and Mussolini also thought similarly, once.

Was Souter overruled 60 to 80% of the time by the Supreme Court? Who knew?

All that has to happen to Sotomayor is that she slips on the marble floors some morning ~ and that's the end of that.

She has a brittle bone condition as a consequence of 47 years of injecting insulin.

Frankly, I think she's much better off taking early retirement ~ I think it's just a 3% per year reduction in her annuity.

That’s not really saying much is it? However, given that it’s Obama making the nomination, there’s not much of a chance of getting a good judge in there until 2013.

Graham should do a Specter and just switch parties. Bring McCain with him.

That’s kinda like having a doctor tell you that you no longer have lung cancer but have swapped it for brain cancer.

My God, these accomodationist Quisling RINOs will be the death of this country yet.

Senator Grahmnesty is a disgrace to his party. This is the same piece of crap that called anyone who opposed amnesty a bigot.

Please note the democrats all day have been extolling Sotomayor’s ability to overcome lifes obstacles, as if this automatically qualifies her for a position on the Supreme Court. They will never discuss her activist racist views and decisions which happened over and over again. Any Republican that votes for her nomination should be voted out of office next election.

the only way it would be a “trade-up” is if she would help overrule Roe, but I doubt it.

What Graham had to say today put a big, big dent in any respect I had left for him.

If a blech like Sotomayer is a trade-in for Souter, can’t wait to see what we get for Ginsburg and Stevens...
