Former Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson says he pressured Bank of America last year to go through with its plans to buy Merrill Lynch but didn't tell the bank's chief to hide losses from shareholders.

Take a look at the number of Goldman Sachs pukes running around D.C., and the how everyone "who's too big to fail" gets a bailout (pity WE don't qualify, oops, we have to pay for it). Large corporations are lining up at the trough (G.E. and IBM with green B.S., Goldman Sachs with cap-and-trade, every large pharmaceutical company, insurance company and medical provider with health care reform).

This is the very definition of fascism, because private industry IS being taken over (or at least greatly directed) by the government with nary a whimper. In fact, instead of fighting it, the lazy bastards are WELCOMING it!

I don't for one second believe the "too big to fail" crap about these financial institutions. Let 'em fail and we'll pick up the pieces. I just don't believe it could've made anything worse than it is now.
