During the 2008 presidential race, America's Independent Party leaders warned against the notion that somehow John McCain represented any sort of real alternative to Barack Obama.
The proof of that assertion continues to mount.
Even on matters that affect the very physical survival of our nation, the Senator from Arizona sets no bounds on compromise.

“...the notion that somehow John McCain represented any sort of real alternative to Barack Obama...”
Says it all for me.
Now that is funny, right there. He can almost be forgiven for bringing her to national prominence.

There is a very rational reason why McCain is supporting the reduction in our nuclear stockpile.
During the Clinton Administration, the government identified the need to find an alternative venue to produce weapons grade tritium, a necessary stabilizing element in our nuclear arsenal. Instead of building a facility for this purpose, the Clinton Administration instead chose to convert an existing facility to weapons grade tritium production. Unfortunately, at the pace it is producing tritium, we will have an insufficient amount to stabilize our existing arsenal by 2012. We needed to reduce the stockpile to meet the production schedule.
God bless President Bush, but he had 8 years to do something about this situation and DID NOTHING. Why ANYONE is making political hay about this now is beyond me. It's been in the works for A DECADE.
The RINOS in Congress knew about it, and just like the turncoat a@@holes on the Left who whined about removing Saddam and then cried like babies when Bush did, the Republicans should STHU. They sold us down the river a LONG TIME AGO...

Writer, as interesting as your post is, actually this article has nothing to do with our nuclear stockpile. It concerns John McCain’s complicity in helping Obama cut funding for our national missile defense shield.
Sorry about that! I was doing several things at once, clicked on link, thought I knew the topic at hand, and answered.
I realized later that I had posted to the wrong link, and this was about the missile defense, but had to jump off again before I could offer an apology or explanation.
I'm glad you posted to me!
Sorry, again!
No problem whatsoever.
