Perry is “Presidential Timber.” You’re kidding, right? Seriously….really. Have you been involved in Texas politics over the past few years?
Perry has very few genuine conservative convictions [other than gun rights, I give him a solid A+ for that]. If it were not for an active and attentive conservative block in the Texas Republican Party, Perry would be a moderate Democrat.
Perry’s recent, non-intellectual, right-wing sounding comments sound boorish and embarrassing to me, but I guess it will get him more Texas Bubba votes. For those of us who remember beyond a politician’s recent grandstanding, we have trouble swallowing:
(1) the business margins tax; (2) TTC fiasco; (3) forced HPV (partial) vaccine, etc.
That being said, I prefer Perry over KBH; but I can’t say I am too happy with either.

Too bad about KBH. She started out well in the Senate but got wobbly from rubbing elbows too much in the sewage halls of DC.
I still like Kay but she won’t get my vote for Gov. here in Tx. Unfortunately for her Rick Perry has ran back to solid conservatism faster than she has!

After gutting the border fence bill, Kay will have a strong voting turnout from the illegal aliens.
You're right about those things but, at least when the people of Texas said, “No Way”, he listened.
As much as I have disliked him in the past, (never voted for him) I appreciate his telling the FEDs to FO.
He may of done some soul-searching after his experiences with US politics and the Bilderbergs group.
The good news is that Texas can now get a conservative senator again, something we really have not had since Phil Graham stepped down.
Better yet, when she loses the Republican primary for governor, KBH will be out of politics, period.

On another note, I understand Kay Bailey Hutchinson will vote against Sotomayor. Interesting, I beleive it is all about challenging Perry. Cornyn is voting against her also; I believe it is because his Dallas office was protested a few weeks ago. I truly believe they would both be voting for her if the pressure were not on them. I am disappointed by their failure to adhere to Republican principles. Again, I do not hear them yelling 'FIRE'; instead, it appears they are doing just enough to appease their constituents.
The anti-any party ranks are swelling. Organizations like GOOOH (Get Out Of Our House), a group to replace all 435 congressmen, are busy meeting and growing and planning. I have a strong sense that they will supporting a third party candidate - I hope not, but our Republican party is not exactly winning converts or building trust.
Check it out..Sarah Palin, without even trying, just got rid of a RINO. KBH knew she had no chance against Rick Perry because once Sarah endorsed him, his poll numbers skyrocketed. I can’t wait for Sarah to start campaigning for Conservative candidates, you are all gonna see RINOS flying all over the place

KBH has forgotten too much of what she learned in Texas and remembers too much of what she has learned in D.C.!

Williams is still running for Senate. He is very active at the local level, attending numerous events across the state.
He does not have the vast financial resources as other candidates who are more connected with Texas money. My hope is that he can force the race into a runoff when he will receive equal attention, money or not, and where the more active and conservative primary voters will determine the outcome [because the less active voters do not bother to vote again].
Side note: it’s generally true that in the Republican primary, the more conservative candidate wins, regardless of funding. For a good example, see Olson v Shelly Sekula Gibbs.
