Give us this day our creationist spam...
Are you starting to get the idea that the 65,000,000 years we’ve heard about all our lives was never anything more than a bunch of bullshit?
The ICR article misrepresents the report
ICR claims this was 'mummified', however, the original report doesn't say that. It says: retains soft-tissue replacement structures and associated organic compounds. Mineral cements precipitated in the skin apparently follow original cell boundaries, partially preserving epidermis microstructure. Infrared and electron microprobe images of ossified tendon clearly show preserved mineral zonation, with silica and trapped carbon dioxide forming thin linings on Haversian canals within apatite.
Mineralization is very different than mummification.
OCD?
never trust anything containing this "word."
How can anybody even read anything from the ICR anymore? They always completely misrepresent findings. Honestly, how can such supposedly God-fearing people live with themselves? Is lying and deception okay in the service of God?
I notice their latest catch-phrase too, “soft tissue.” The only thing noteworthy about this find is that the skin survived after death long enough to fossilize. For that we need a lack of local scavengers and a low-oxygen or arid environment. Previous to this find evidence shows the area at the time of this dinosaur was very arid.
That alone doesn’t disprove evolution, but it does show that scientists reject new evidence that runs counter to their established conclusions.
YOUNG EARTHER PING! (to me)
Over 66 million years old? Seriously? Think about that evo’s, I mean really think. It just isn’t possible no matter how you slice and dice it.
Job is an ancient gentile book, pre-dating Moses, that testifies of dinosaurs contemporaneous with man. The witness of the fossil record shows not just dinosaurs, but rhinoceroses and other mammals died off, as well. We have Bible revelation of God's judgment by the Flood. Many world cultures tell the story also. The Flood wiped out vast populations of living kinds. Great climatic change, quick freezing brought by hurricane winds, inundation and drowning, volcanism, and upheaval characterized the Biblical catastrophe. Massive deluvian mechanisms rapidly froze many animals, then buried them in tundra muck where they remained frozen to this day.
Not sure what the issue with rhinoceroses is. They're not extinct.
....the dinosaur is supposedly 66 million years old. But its skin says otherwise....
There IS NO "SKIN"....there is exactly what the researchers said there was "mineralized soft-tissue structure".....and what there was most certainly did not "prove otherwise", Doctor Thomas....but don't let that get in the way of you making it up as you go. There was "soft-tissue replacement structures and associated organic compounds"......PERIOD. Now WTH do you think "replacement structures" are, Doctor Thomas? Hint: that would be MINERAL compounds. WTH do you think "associated organic compounds" are, Doctor Thomas?? Hint: that would be AMIDE GROUPS......and that would be aliphatic molecules....carbon-hydrogen molecules......OMG....MACROMOLECULES!!!!
....these soft tissue structures should absolutely not be there anymore...
Well, Doctor Thomas, those soft tissue structures ARE NOT there anymore. Minerals took the place of those soft tissue structures and retained the structure without the soft tissue.
they contain organic molecules, including either intact or partially-decayed proteins from the original dinosaur
BS....LIE....there were no intact proteins present....protein mass spectrometry showed there was no intact proteins present. There were no "partially decayed" proteins either, Doctor Liesalot. There was evidence of carbon-hydrogen molecules and amide groups.....nothing more.....no peptides, no peptide chains...no proteins.
The very presence of such materials counters the millions of years assigned to them.
False conclusion, Doctor.
But Dakota shows no signs of being 66 million years old, or even one million years old.
False statements, Doctor.
Yeah yeah....Man and dinosaurs walked the Earth at the same time, Doctor Loon.
While I am not a died in the wool evolutionists I find this statement suspect. If the world was indeed only six thousand years old then we would find many, many dinos with tissue and skin intact. That isn't to say that dinosaurs might have lived to just a few thousand years ago in some parts of the world nor do I support evolution the way it is now, but sometimes common sense about certain events must be brought into play on both sides of the question.
if faith is believing that which cannot be proven, why are creationists always trying to prove stuff?
