Snugs---You don't need to apologize! I think it was a wise decision to not send a message rather than risk issues at work.

I'm jealous of those that were present to hear/see President Bush. He was thiiiiis close to me. Did you get any pictures? Wow. I don't know if I could have behaved myself being, as you say, "thiiiiis" close to him and not shouting out or something! I feel your pain--but how very cool that you got to see him up close!

I have sooooooo "been there" - big hugs snugs...it's NOT easy. I'm glad you can try to go with the flow and not let it get to you too much. It's tough to do. Don't worry about us...we are right there supporting you and what you need to do with your Dad to help support him. You made the right decision at work...you need them on your side as a good worker while going through this with your Dad. Things may come up that you need a bit more time off and if you are a model employee, that may be a huge factor in their being congenial.
I soooo feel for you, snugs. You know I'm right there in spirit--going through it with yah!
