This is completely nuts. Over 4600 posts to a thread which begins with nothing but yet another in a long parade of evidence-free claims that some self-promoter has come up with “proof” that Obama is not eligible to be POTUS! Did any of the 9/11 threads even get this long?

I really worry about the direction FR is heading in. There’s nowhere near this much interest in Obama’s health care proposal, which is 100% real and could do serious and irreparable harm to our nation.

I know the bureaucratic hapits and procedures for many countries and have observed how certain common features of office procedures were bequeathed by the Brits on their former colonies. They did NOT use staples. Staples were still rare and not used in Government offices until well into the 1990s to my personal knowledge, and I suspect still.

I was rather surprised ... staples have been around a LONG time ... and became more common after WWII.

Antique Staplers & Other Paper Fasteners -- the History of Staplers

1870s ~ Individual Preformed Staples: The first desktop machine designed to fasten papers by inserting and clinching metallic staples was patented in 1877 (US. Patent No. 195,603). A number of the earliest machines held only one preformed wire staple at a time and had to be reloaded each time they were used. The photo to the right shows one such machine, a McGill Single-Stroke Staple Press No. 1, which was patented in 1879 and advertised during 1880-1909. To see several single-staple machines, click here.

OldStaplers.com reports that in 1868 and 1874, before the development of machines that both inserted and clinched staples, two patents were issued for machines that inserted, but that did not clinch, staples.

I’ve spent hours this afternoon and evening trying to catch up with this thread......I GIVE UP.

Well, it's closing in on 5,000 posts.

But the question is really simple. The questioned document cites a book and a page and declares certain facts are contained therein. Thus, we don't really have to question the document. All we have to do is find the cited book and page and see if it asserts the claimed facts.

The reason the thread is so damned long is, nobody is content to wait for Orly to go across the pond and fail to find the cited document. Instead, everyone is convinced they already know the outcome.

If Obama does come up with his “original” HI BC, it’ll have Obama’s mom’s sig on it, right? So what you’re saying is we’ll want handwriting samples of Obama’s mom and Obama’s grandma? We’re thinking that Obama’s mom’s handwriting is gonna look a lot like Obama’s grandma’s handwriting?

What is that and where did you find it?

As to the first question, it is a fraudulent graphical political joke... the watermarked security paper says, in Dutch or Afrikaans, "This is not a legitimate government document. It is political commentary."

Did you read post 4121? A private communication was not posted there. His words:

I also found a number of anomalies that shout, "Forgery." It's a government document saying the birth happened and that a birth certificate exists -- or pretty much like Obama's bogus Hawaiian COLB.

I'll keep you posted on what else we find.

Why post a private communication and not the actual link for what he said?

He doesn't give diddly squat about being "fondly remembered" for anything.

No, what others think of him means nothing. It's only what he thinks of himself that matters.

“A woman, even an elderly grandmother wouldn’t satte that she was present when her son was born you fool! “

yet that is what the birthers claim she said.

What the full interview said is she said he was born in Hawaii. that is the truth.

That is how a birth certificate exactly looks like in the old countries!

That is the kind of B.C. I ONLY could present to with my immigration application papers!!

If we had had COLBS like in the U.S., my application would never have been accepted, so please get of the horse that this is only a Colb!!!

Not really. Other than what I Could research on my own today. Lavender is not an uncommon name in England. To an Eric Frank Lavender is not out of the realm of possibility. I don’t know that is what the EF stands for. But again, the names ought to be rather easy to track down on an official level, buy employment records.

There will be other records in the area as well of such a person, other avenues of search other than just the Government.
