Awesome, Mark!

And I didn’t see any delusions or rants.

I knew there was a reason that I don’t go to Real Opaque Politics.

Surplus, you are right on every point. It was knee-jerk reaction on my part, but so frighteningly close. And I’m afraid it’s getting closer.

It’s just a ‘feeling’ I have that if we let them know that we know that they know that we know - what they’re up to, they’ll dig their holes deeper. Ya know? :)

Not their unwashed masses, but the ‘brains’ on the upper rungs. I don’t know if this will be a fight of ideas and intellects or physical intimidation. It’s well known that the left has kept certain people in their court for such a day as this. Brainwashed and helpless, the muscle will do what the brain commands.

So, brain or braun, and what do we do about either?

Thank you for your thoughtful remarks. Really.

Be blessed.

Thanks for your wonderful reply!

In this battle, I wish we didn't have to be so...careful. I wish we could have a dispassionate or at least a far less exercised debate of pure ideas and principles. Frankly I wish we didn't have to think so much. Not that I'm advocating simpletonism, but our core ideals are so very simple; theirs are so complex, entwined as they are in hypocrisy, doublespeak, willful and negligent ignorance of history and goofy utopianism. Not to mention a good helping of real evil.

I believe we are at a stage where more and more on our side are learning the true nature of the threat we face. Not all Republicans see this out of hand. Remember, there are numbers of moderate Republicans who find some kind of emptyheaded novelty in 0bamas' utopian ideas out of their own foolish guilt. And maybe, some on the other side are having their buyer's remorse feelings crystallized. As 0bama & co continue to overreach, they are doing plenty of our work for us. The "snitch" site, and now the union thuggery, these are powerful drivers of some potentially serious revulsion on *both* sides. More importantly, this has opened a brand new window into liberal minds: Perhaps blacks will begin to see that the clubs and forceful violence wielded against the legitimate questioners at these townhall meetings might have been the same tactics used against them in Selma and the South. We are not going to make progress persuading blacks that they are racist by voting for 0bama, IMO. We are not going to make progress persuading them not to take "free stuff". We are not going to dissuade suburban liberals that huge debts aren't owed to the less well-off in American society from long-past mistreatment. But by the same token, suburban libs aren't going to go for violence and speech suppression. That's what they themselves marched against in the 60's. No way.

Everyone understands being overpowered by thugs intent on violence and suppression, in their own way. This is what I have been waiting for. This makes it personal now, and there couldn't be a more important venue to take the fuzzy utopias out of the clouds and dead down to earth. And so, nauseating though it is, I am glad we are seeing this new level of thuggery, because ugly as it may be, this now has the ability to bore into the minds (I do not say brains) of the unconverted, and THAT is the only way I can envision to advance the sanity factor. For this, I am (and I believe we all should be) grateful to the Dem leadership even as I am revulsed. I hate to say it, and you can call me twisted, but I'd like to see more of it. I'd like to see some senior citizens roughed up. THIS is OUR teachable moment. Because now we have the very non-subtle line that has been crossed. Now we get underneath the vague ideas, now we have the sucker punch to the gut. Now we have the collection of the names, now we have snitching on even casual conversations, now we have these lamebrained and laughable accusations of (us) being Nazis and having drug & HMO cos behind us. All tied together on this most crucial issue. Let's let this play out this month. I think we're onto something.

... how do you address the people with NO brains....

Within my lifetime, The Republican Part has never had effective advertising, or a coherent overall campaign theme, or even decently produced commercials.

I always ask,"How can this be the party of business?" A Dodge dealer in Des Moines wouldn't last a month in business with this expensive, pointless crap. The high water mark in silly crappiness (produced BTW, by a DEMOCRAT ad agency full of spies that telegraphed every nmove to the DNC) was reached by the idiot-savant soi disant Karl Rove in his campaigns for GW. He may be one sharp guy, but an ad man, a communicator ... fuggedaboutit. McCain's people were just plain idiots who couldn't run a classified ad for a free massage parlor.

It reminds me of my adventures as the ad agency for a family-owned brewery, which had one drunken relative after another take over the VP Ad Manager spot, usually for 60 days at a time. Mr. Steele isn't like that. Those bums knew their limitations and cheerfully admitted they didn't know a rat's patoot about communications. But, Steele just thinks he is the wittiest guy ever ... and his reward for bombing in his own campaigns, in which he was universally loathed, failing to get even 10% of the African-American vote against a lackluster opponent with no record, and who looked like the other Senator, Mikulski, in man-drag? Naturally, in the GOP that would be the chance to run equally inane crap for other candidates so they can lose, too.

Well, I can give the RNC some sage advice. Fire Steele! Go to the Yellow Pages in any town in this country. Look under "Advertising Agencies." Pick one. I guarantee the stupid party the results will be better than what they have now. The tactical management of the GOP is in the hands of country club retards whose dads made big money somewhere, but who never seem to leave men's bar.

Speaking of communications, the point of my rant is that the uber-pubbies write advertising for each other, not their voter "market." They are hot stuff. Legends in their own minds. The fact that the people are not reponding, is of course, the people's fault.

BTW, you don't have to specifically address people with "no brains." Obama got 77% of the Jewish vote. The GOP's gotta take off the gloves and go after blocs. McCain, as I have mentioned on this site ad nauseam made absolutely NO MENTION of Obama's scandalous campaign for Odinga in Kenya. If 1500 dead Christians don't get the GOP's attention, I reckon nothing ever will.

The Town Hall demonstrations have already been spun beyond all recognition.

The official story in the MSM, is that violent right-wing fanatics have prevented concerned Americans from asking legitiate questions at these meetings. By golly, they have been loud and disruptive, and frightening.

Not one source has told the truth about SEIU, AFL-CIO, ACORN thugs who have turned up the heat at these meetings. It pains me to say that certain conservatives, namely Charles Krauthammer, et al, have bought this hook, line, and sinker and are aiding and abetting the MSM in spreading this story.

We are up against a powerful and implacable marxist enemy and our enemy controls the news.
