The best part:
“How does that work? What public-relations genius says: “Okay, we need these protests to seem like an authentic backlash of real Americans. Make sure everyone has enough Nazi paraphernalia!”
Lawyers, guns and money. This would cover #1 and #3.
In the 90s the Clintons claimed that people like us who listened to Rush were “mind-numbed robots.”
Orwellian.
Ping!!!
same playbook they used in 1939
To all:
I drove 200 miles through a blue state, and saw ONE bumper sticker supporting Obama, but ZERO voicing any personal viewpoint (except my own). Occasional flags, Marine and NRA stickers don’t count.
What is it with people, that they cannot create a tasteful, non-inflammatory message and glue-stick it to their rear window? Something like, “Please Help Defeat Obama’s Nationalized Health Care Plan.”
Please get with it; democracy is not a spectator sport.
I like the comment about the protesters being “too well dressed”.
Hey Democrat-Communists, maybe something has never occured to you. MOST OF US WORK FOR A LIVING! Do you understand the concept of work? Do you understand the necessity to bath, shave, and otherwise be somewhat presentable? Do you have a grasp of the fact that we pay taxes which in turn pay YOU? And you have the nerve to call the people, your bosses, the ones who pay YOUR SALARY stupid. How rude of me to point out your arrogance.
Democrats delenda est!
The lib reaction is right out of the same playbook they’ve used for years - slander, lie, humiliate, and bully.
The Left always accuses its opponents of what the LEft itself is doing.
Jonah Goldberg is calling them on it!
Years ago, I attended a timber hearing at the CA Board of Forestry. We left at 4 am to make the drive all the way down to Sacremento to say our piece. When we got there, we signed the register to speak in order of our arrival. The room was packed. About 11:00 a group of green protestors came in and stood across the front of the room locking arms, Some of the bearded gents were dressed in tutus and ball gowns as queen of big timber. They got great publicity. It took three hours to clear them from the room while the rest of us waited outside. By that time, we had to leave for the return trip and never got to speak. That is the left’s idea of democracy.
At another timber rally, we had goons planted in the audience with anti-timber signs. They ran interference around the sign holders and would force their way in front of the cameras. We learned from them to counter with tall men in front of their signs. Also to bunch rally folk so we looked more concentrated in their camera shots.
I have mentioned before that at the ESA hearing in Fresno, the SF Chronicle ran ads to hire protesters for the left. They bussed them in. The leader would hold up one of several colored cards which was his cue to them on how to react - boo, cheer, etc.
Street theater is another tactic of the left. It makes it more interesting to the camera. People in fish costumes, native Americans in regalia, giant puppets, drummers all have played well with the media.
The left can give you some real pointers.
It is considered honorable to dress well for your hosts or guests.
Leeches aren't capable of restraint, and they actually believe that the Feds can produce money out of nothing, and that ever expanding "freebies" are not only possible, but it is their "right" to have them.
The NAZI thing is problematic. There are genuine parallels everywhere, but the word has been so abused as to associate it with the criminally insane. Unfortunately many parallels are genuine and must be properly pointed out.
The recent PSAs on TV aimed at our malleable ignorant youth are a prime example. Carbon copies of the historical propaganda anyone can actually confirm. Check it out for yourself!
Two examples...
Anyone else see the parallels?
The very idea of a Republican mob can’t help but bring about a chuckle.
