I hope I don’t hear someone complain about the price of veggies at the store.”

What veggies? Iceberg lettuce was sold out at my store before 6 PM last Tues.

This is totally disgraceful. The federal judge that made this decision should be run out of town, tarred and feathered on a rail.

Well, let's look on the bright side -- the fish will vote for the politicians who saved their habitat.

One of these days the perfect storm will come and people will be starving.

What is really sad is that even if they turned back on the water today, those plants are DEAD.

Those almond trees are not just gonna spring back to life.

This started WAY before the Bush administration!! I’ve been fighting this kind of insane environmentalism for 20 yrs. The liberal groups sued the government and the liberal judges gave them everything the wanted.

I happen to reside in the San Joaquin Valley and every year we pray for rain and/or snow. (Yosemite and the Sierras are very close by) There are years we get it and are still told we are not where we need to be in our total rainfall. But alas, we would have to be at flood stage for these buffoons to tell us we can keep our own rainfall or snowpack. They play god with our valley but even they will have to pay dearly for fruits and vegetables that they want us as a nation to eat more of. Stupid is as Washington does.

Driving south on I-5 in the beginning of the summer, a clever farmer has put up very large signs stating that his fields are dying because of “government backed droughts”. On one hand I feel bad for these people but then they did vote for these a-holes. They also seemed to have the mentality of “If I bend I won’t break, or go broke”. That has obviously failed and now we all pay for it with higher food prices.

Editorial in today’s San Francisco Chronicle supports the concept of tearing down more dams in the Western United States

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2009/08/16/EDHN1975DF.DTL

I wish they would tear down the O’Shaughnessy Dam which forms Hetch Hetchy Reservoir and provides the major water source for San Francisco. The picture of Pelosi, Boxer, Feinstien and their minions drying up is appealing.

1973--actually it began under Nixon . The EPA endangered species is a fanatical enviro branch, and needs a huge modification.

This is why I have no sympathy for CA govt. They uphold such nonsense as this instead of fighting it for their. Talk about Repubs being the party of no--how about CA govt. No to water ; no to drilling; no to building utilities; no to building refineries; no to controlling immigration; no to anything that makes sense and would pull them out of economic crisis.
