It’s time to fast-track these czars through the Supreme Court. They’re cearly not in the constitution, have no oversight and pose a serious threat to the stability of this country.

I am still amazed that we don’t hear a word from those bastions of truth in Congress that their oversight of these czars has been eliminated. Not Republicans or Democrats are making an issue of this.

The ‘Death’ of talk-radio??

Doesn’t anybody remember the 60’s?? Does “Wolfman Jack” tingle a synapse or two??

Underground radio, originating offshore, and delivered nationwide via ‘bootleg tapes’ - the technology of the day -circumvented draconian ‘decency’ laws, and changed broadcasting forever....

I’m as passionate an advocate of the 1st amendment as anyone, but let’s take a breath, here — with modern, borderless, communications reaching virtually every person, would ‘going underground’ necessarily be a bad thing for Talk Radio?

That amazes me also. One of their major powers has been usurped by the usurper and they remain quiet.

I was amazed that they let the Census be taken over by the White House, now the White House takes over communications and still they remain quiet.

What will it take, what power over them does Obama have.

Are they all frightened that they may be called racist?

The radio stations should publicize a day of silence and on some appointed day all go silent or just play funeral music.

Yes, it would be a bad thing.

It would mean that we allowed the Marxists to remove our 1st Amendment rights.

Underground is possible. But think of the fight. Our “Dream Team” talk radio against the Czars. Not the feeble Republicans. If we wanted to a have a perfect enemy they are it. This is a good thing. Bring it on.

” Then they’ll do like China and the internet,

And it’ll be even more ineffective here, where interconnectiveness is all-pervasive, than it has been in China, or Iran...

‘Omnipotent Government’ is the pie-in-the-sky mythical goal of the Left - it never has been, and never will be, anything more than a bogeyman to frighten the sheeple into submission....

Allowing the socialists to proceed even an inch with their agenda is equivalent to surrender. These morons need to be sent packing with whatever force necessary to ensure they don't return next year, or ever.
They are trying to systematically dismantle every semblance of freedom in America.
They, and their supporters are organized criminals and traitors. Nothing less than total victory against them is acceptable.

” It would mean that we allowed the Marxists to remove our 1st Amendment rights. “

In case you hadn’t noticed, they already have - ‘Political Correctness’ morphed into ‘Speech Codes’, which became ‘Hate Speech Laws’, and now ‘free speech’ is but a fond memory in the land-of-the-free-and-the-home-of-the-brave...

Even our beloved Talk Radio is constrained by these abominations, and ‘going underground’ may be the only way to exercise and restore the 1st Amendment....

Didn’t Howard Stern receive a $500 million contract form Sirius? How much do you guess that satellite would offer Rush and Glenn and the rest? They might manage to kill over the air broadcast radio like cable did to broadcast TV but it’s unlikely that they’d censor Glenn and Rush.

Preaching to the choir, here... I’m inviting you to consider a tactic, to achieve the strategic goal of ‘total victory’...

Every Revolution in history - even, and I could argue, especially, non-violent Revolutions - has grown from an active and effective Underground movement....

We’ve ceded so much to the Marxists, that now it’s time to start thinking seriously about these things.....

There is a certain romance to that idea: mobile pirate radio stations operating in the shadows, taunting a repressive government to the secret whoops and cheers of their audience. Wolfman Jack blasting rock-and-roll into the Western desert on his Mexican 100KW XTRA transmitter, thumbing his nose at the FCC.

Many of us Conservatives are rebels at heart, and be glad of that, for I believe it is what will ultimately save us. But today, we have the Internet, and even if the FCC moved to block conservative programming, voice over Internet cannot easily be stopped, and any attempt to do so would find the same multinational and offshore paths as pirate radio. There's also shortwave, which provides a global reach (with a powerful enough transmitter).

In any event: bring it on, Obama - all you are doing is stirring up a giant hornet's nest of dissent and engaging people who have been made to endure too much for too long. In my mind, I can almost hear Johnny B Goode wafting across the warm Senoran night sky...

They keep pushing and pushing and pushing. Sooner or later, the country will reach a critical mass and people will push back hard.

I just can't decide if they are doing this on purpose or if it will be the unintended consequence of their believing their own press and being utterly blind to public sentiment.

Obama will blame conservative talk radio for the stinging rebuke of his health plan and will seek revenge. Reinstating the Fairness Doctrine is only the beginning and I expect the First Amendment will be just word in the very near future. I hope Fox News and conservative broadcasters have plans to start broadcasting on short wave from other countries.

NPR should be funded solely by the Democratic Party, left-wing organizations like MoveOn.org and their left-wing listeners.

After all, NPR is nothing more than their left-wing, partisan mouthpiece.

The causality runs the other way. Journalists have an inherent tendency to promote themselves, and promote journalism. Politicians have the inherent motivation to promote themselves, and the easy way for a politician to promote himself is to toady to the journalists and get the journalists to reciprocate.

Journalists and politicians have every incentive to promote the idea that the people you depend on are crooks or incompetents, because saying so puts the journalist and the politician on a higher level than the people who actually provide your milk, eggs, bread, electricity, fuel, automobiles, medicine and medical care, etc, etc.

Journalists give good PR to politicians who promote journalism. They call them "progressive" or "liberal" (which, until the 1020s, was the word for what is now called "conservative") and they put positive spin on the behavior and policies of such politicians.

The Right to Know

Quite a long and pertinent article. Those of us that are a bit older can see the truth of it; and how all the stages of have incrementally and steadily and exceedingly rapidly changed away from our foundations ...from various sources; ... political correctness, civil rights (such as affirmative action),even the beginning of the listing of our RIGHTS, ... when that began it was soon followed by the idea ... that if a RIGHT is not listed then it must not be a right.

Our Christianity, our ideas of loving our neighbor, obeying the laws, showing increased leniency to law breakers (criminals) and forgiving heinous crimes, etc. (has been manipulated against us) and has grown until our criminal system is broken.

Frivolous law suits have increased IE. (smoking) and have since minded increased the cost of having health care (insured and private.)exponentially. and ... this is literally the tip of the iceberg .

Too True! I see little or no to sign that the public is waking up to this immediate threat to America's survival as a Constitutional Republic.

We, like our forefathers ... who said "GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH!... must take a stand.

God help us in our day, in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus. Amen.

I certainly hope so.
Think about this:

...and there shall be a time of trouble,
such as never was

since there was a nation
even to that same time ...

Ponder this.

And, ponder this.

You comments are well stated. But there is "a time of war".
There are worse times coming.
Never forget:
Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD,
that I will send a famine in the land,
not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water,
but of hearing the words of the LORD:
And they shall wander from sea to sea,
and from the north even to the east,
they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD,
and shall not find it.

That is exactly right, and the reason why they’ll continue funneling more and more money towards public broadcasting. Hoping that that’s going to change any time soon is not realistic. So, conservatives are well advised to try a different strategy: Rather than whining about it forever while doing nothing and leaving the field to the communists, conservatives should go on the offensive and set up their own public broadcasting network! Look here for plans and activities in that direction.

Thank you, for the excellent response. You did not show reference scripture book, verse, etc. It is helpful to those who do not open or read the Bible often, if at all. I add the references ... thinking it might engage those that have not spent time in the reading of God's word. It is the LIVING word. This is not intended as a scold.

I agree with you. There are difficult/trying times coming.

Be ready. Prayed up and expectant.

God bless America, have mercy on Your people, forgive us our sins and restore us to Your service and Kingdom. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
