Rock legend Bob Dylan was treated like a complete unknown by police in a New Jersey shore community when a resident called to report someone wandering around the neighborhood.
The officers asked Dylan for identification. The singer of such classics as "Like a Rolling Stone" and "Blowin' in the Wind" said that he didn't have any ID with him, that he was just walking around looking at houses to pass some time before that night's show.
The officers asked Dylan, 68, to accompany them back to the Ocean Place Resort and Spa, where the performers were staying. Once there, tour staff vouched for Dylan.
The officers thanked him for his cooperation.
"He couldn't have been any nicer to them," Woolley added.

I don't think they will, but what they will probably do is descend upon Dylan and demand that he straighten his act out and become one of the offended and say those coppers were unAmerican and owed him an apology.
People have been trying to get Dylan to do what they want him to for nearly 50 years now and it hasn't worked yet. I would hope they have given up by now.

Dylan has admitted that he enjoys pot and hash... never admitted to using harder drugs. Who knows for sure but him and those closest to him. I’m just saying it’s always possible.

Think about it, Bob Dylan or any other tour headliner would not have to escape his music scene shows and hotel and crew (and Willie Nelson) to go out into a poor neighborhood alone desperately in search of a joint.

At least it didn't stop him from showing up at the G8 Summit.

No I really did not know that you were like this, I thought that I was dealing with a regular freeper, not a childish goofball.

The big deal is Dylan’s behavior in contrast to Gates’ hissy fit.
I said it before and I’ll say it again. Gates’ hissy fit was a reaction to distract the police from finding out who the other man was.
